-One theory I find interesting is the discussion of everyday English vs Academic English. I think as educators we should use everyday English as a tool to help  build our student's academic English abilities.  The student's understanding of everyday English gives us a strong foundation to build upon when teaching the student to become a stronger English speaker.

-A great strategy for engaging all students is to create a chart outlining the different languages spoken throughout the class.
-Another great strategy is to allow students to answer in their first language before trying to answer in English.
- Also state your message in more than one way. Differentiate your delivery methods.
- Some questions educators should as themselves are;  "am I giving my students enough time to process and answer the question?", another question should be "Am I keeping vocabulary consistent and limiting use of expressions?", a third question could be: "Do a build the confidence of my students when they take risks?"
