People may argue that Social Structure is the most important characteristic of civilization. This is because social structure allows people to work together and establish a thriving civilization. Because people all have different roles, every single thing is taken care of. The Social Structure article says, “Builders made canals, walls, statues, ziggurats, and more.” This shows that, due to the social structure there was a person for every job which allowed cities to grow and prosper. This is a reason some people might argue social structure is the most important characteristic of civilization but they are wrong. Thorough social structure helps cities function, it is not necessary. Cities do not need a social structure to fill the job at hand, instead everyone can help with anything. On the other hand cities need food supply. Food supply allows cities to grow and evolve without constantly moving.
