As we continue on I want to see her flourish and shine as the great, sweet, and smart girl that she is. I would like to fill in the gaps of knowledge that she is missing in math and to boost her confidence in her ability to learn! Overall, I want her to know that she is worth helping. I want her to see that she is bright and has a successful future ahead of her despite her circumstances.

He does have some common knowledge in the fact that he can match letters (can you point to this letter on your paper) and He does know how to write a "J" which is fabulous!! I would love to see him write his name and start drawing pictures of things that he enjoys!

After reminding and showing her about the words on the word wall and the dig poster she was able to get some words on paper. She wanted to write I like apples. She ended up just writing like apples. I would like to see her trying to get all of her sentence down on the paper. Also when I draw the lines for her to write the sentence I want her to understand that each line is for one word. When she wrote like she had spread it out over 2 lines. Nadya is able to use words from our shared writing but needs assistance when it comes to writing new words. I would like to see her become more confident and independent when finding words from our word wall to write on her own during writing time.

Questioning was around predicting. She was able to write a complete sentence on something she thought would happen in the book. Although we had talked about the feelings of the character and how they might/end up feeling, her prediction still involved a verb. She was able to illustrate to match her prediction.
