As he was being groom by Joe Green (the young groom from the Birtwick but older). Joe recognize him and asked the mistress to keep him. After some time, Black Beauty is recovering his strength and will live for a long time. He had a good life serving his masters until he had a terrible injury. He then was sold to a variety of owners, and that would serve every owners even if they are horrible or nice to him. He later receive the happy ending he deserve at the end.
Ginger- Was a temper and rebellious horse due to terrible past, but was able to change with help from the other horses at Birtwick.  After being separate from Black Beauty, and have an injury, she was sold to owners that would overwork her. After meeting Black Beauty for the last time, she was presume dead due to a carriage accident with a dead horse that is similar to Ginger. 
Jerry- A kind cab driver with strong morals. He tries his best to put good care towards his horses and will put his morals over money. It can remind us that horses has feelings like us and need to be treated kindly. He learn that horses can be treated kindly or mistreated by humans. After reaching at a certain age, he was sold to a wealthy family where he had some of his best memories. He met a tempered Ginger, beloved Merrylegs, and with grooms, Joe Manly, and young Joe Green that deeply cares for him as well as the owners. After an illness to the mistress, he was sold to various owners until he was sold to Jerry. Jerry was a kind man who cares for people and have morals that is more important than money. Due to being caught with an illness, he had to sold different owners again. He was sold to a man that overworked his horses. After being exhausted, a doctor advise the man that Beauty should have some rest then sold again at the horse fair. After a boy named Willie asked his grandfather to keep Black Beauty, he agreed to it. He then met the groom of a potential home. The groom was Joe Green from Birtwick but older, and recognize it was him. He then asked the mistress to keep him, and she agree to it.
