I am Rabia Aksu Özova

I work in Ereğli district of Konya province in Türkiye.

Here is my school.

I prepared this promotional video for you.

It's really exciting to do this project with you.

350 secondary school, 650 pre-school and primary school students receive education in our school. 31 teachers and 4 administrators work.

School starts at 8.30. Preschool ends at 13.30, primary school at 14.00 and secondary school at 15.00.

Türkiye has a rich history, beautiful nature, delicious cuisine, and warm, welcoming people.

🌾 About Konya

Konya is a large city in Central Anatolia and is the largest province in Türkiye by area. It is well known for its wide plains and strong agricultural production, especially wheat and grains.

Konya is also famous for Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, a world-known philosopher and poet who represents peace, love, and tolerance. The city has a calm atmosphere and a deep historical background.

🏛️ About Ereğli (Konya)

Ereğli is a developed district of Konya. It is an important center for agriculture and local life. One of the most significant historical sites in Ereğli is the İvriz Rock Relief, which dates back thousands of years and reflects ancient Anatolian civilization.

Ereğli is known for its friendly and hospitable people, traditional lifestyle, and peaceful environment.

Szkoła Podstawowa im. Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego is a public primary school located at Jana Pawła II Street in Siedlin, near Płońsk, Mazowieckie, Poland.

The school is an important part of the local community and provides education for children from kindergarten (from the age of 3) up to grade VIII of primary school.

There are around 200 students and 30 teachers. Lessons start at 8:00 and finish at 12:30 (for younger students) and 15:20 (for older students).

At the school, students follow the Polish national curriculum, which includes:

• Polish language

• Mathematics

• Foreign languages (English, Russian and German)

• History and Social Studies

• Science (biology, chemistry, physics)

• Geography

• Art, Music, and Physical Education

• Informatics

The history of education in Siedlin dates back many decades, with the institution growing alongside the village. Over time, it has developed into a full primary school offering education from preschool classes through grade VIII.

Siedlin is a peaceful rural community with local services and institutions, including the primary school and kindergarten. The village also has its own volunteer fire brigade (OSP Siedlin), which actively serves the community with modern firefighting vehicles.

Płońsk is a town located near Siedlin (about 5 km). It has a population of about 21,500 people and a history that dates back to at least 1155, making it one of the older urban centres in the region.

The town lies on the Płonka River and has several cultural and historical attractions, including:

• David Ben-Gurion’s family home, the birthplace of the first Prime Minister of Israel.

• The Płońsk Memorial House, a museum commemorating the history of the local Jewish community and its heritage.

• Historic churches and local landmarks that reflect the town’s medieval and modern history.

Płońsk also hosts cultural festivals and remembrance events that celebrate the diversity and history of the region.

My name is Belén, and I live in Oviedo, the capital of Asturias, an autonomous region located in the north of Spain.

I work at a school with around 420 students, offering both Preschool and Primary Education. I coordinate the Bilingual Programme and the Language Assistants Programme, and I teach English, Science, and Art.

In the following posts, I will introduce you to my school and my city. I am delighted to have the opportunity to share this exciting project with all of you and to collaborate with colleagues from different countries.
