They feed us disgusting lunch! But the bad part was when we arrived here because they made all of us cut our hair. Please tell our Native tribe that im am sorry. Tell my mother I ran away and was forced to cut my hair. Tell my baby brother horabo that I said happy birth and I love him and miss him. Oh, and I forgot “happy birthday day to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Pablo happy birthday to you!” Enjoy it while it last because I overheard the white men saying they were going to get you next year and bring you here.

I’m tired of holding my tongue to keep my job. The fact that Illinois, North and South Dakota, and Iowa will be affected by this is a huge problem.  The pipeline is a ridiculous idea! Me, being a pipeline builder, shouldn’t say these this  if I still want to  to get paid. Even if I do get paid I could find another job, hopefully that one won’t have me do terrible things to other people. We are taking people’s land without their permission. The pipeline would affect many 

        I think that the Dakota Pipeline should not billed because,it will go throug the Native American homes in North Dakota and South Dakota, Lowa and into illinois. If the pipeline bust in the water it will spill oil in the water 

 

           My name is fergus smelcer and I don’t think kidnapping kids to bring them to a boarding school is right. I am a native youth and I am forced to go to a boarding school. I think its wrong how I am forced to change my language and my beliefs. Destroying my cultural idenity doesn’t make me feel impoprtant. Nobody has the right to cut off my hair. Having young children do military drills should be considered a crime.   

 

     My name is Corey Graham, I am a pipline builder. I’ve been trying to protest against my boss and co-workers. My boss always yells and says “ Do you want a job?!” I feel so bad that we are making their life harder. Every human being needs water. We have the pipline with oil if it burst and gets into their water it is poisonus and they could die. I know us people with clean water wouldn’t be so happy about us having dirty water. Some people just don’t care and are greedy. They also take stuff for 

                The Native Americans are slowly dying. I have seen kids walking with their mothers and fathers one day, and by themselves the next. I can’t keep getting these awful looks from these kids and even adults. They don’t get proper places to sleep

                Dear Donald Trump ,

Please stop supporting the Dakota Pipeline and reroute the pipeline to somewhere else. There is a high risk of the pipeline having a hole in it that might create an oil spill. The oil will make the Native American’s water source and pollute the water. Native people who are farming crops near the pipeline will end up getting their crops not growing. Crops need the water to grow and can be edible. Imagine if you  were a Native American and your water source was polluted. You wouldn’t like to have that happen to you. You would end up protesting about your water source. I hope you can change the pipeline route.

Dear government as a native American youth I feel that we are treated differently because of our culture. I cant believe that you would make use cut our and rip away our culture. I am appalled that you said that the only good Indian is a dead one .

Our people shoukd not be forced away from our family and our loved ones to be forced to learn others traditions,lanuguages,and religion.They started this in 1870s when the united states was still in war with the indians.We were tooken of our necklaces and other trible things that we charished.We were forced to were fancy clothing.we slept in bunks with other tribes that we didn’t know we were forced to pray to the god that they forced us to.Children died because of the illnesses that whent around the bording schools.we where not able to have our loved dream catchers.they will make us into what they wanted us to be just because we lived near them.

Dear all other African americans and Americans, I am am a fellow African American who is protesting against the Dakota Pipeline. May I remind you that we all need to stand strong. The Dakota pipeline will affect our water. Water is not a renewable resource. If the water is affected by the oil, we will have no more water. The human body can only go three days without water. After the three days, the human population will start to die out. If you enjoy gardening, you will need water to help the plants or crops grow. Without the water, the plant will wither up and die. If anybody has a pet, you will need water. To either have the pet drink it, or if you have pet fish, you will need water for them to survive. Today we have taken the last straw. We will not lose. We need to stand strong.

            How would you like to be kidnapped to a boarding school?  These children were abducted and sent to a boarding school.  In this boarding school, Boys hair had to be cut off.  Also, they had to wear uniforms and practice military drills.  If they tried to escape, they would be shot.  Due to this situation, Pratt was told to take 72 Indian Prisoners to Fort Marion in Augustine, Florida.  Kids died from diseases like tuberculous, influenza, and trachoma.  Most people died at this boarding school from tuberculosis.

We had been walking for a week. The weather was getting colder and colder. Adsila was only five and couldn’t withstand the torture the white men were putting us through. Luya was twelve and she was trying to take care of Adisila. Luya would carry Adisila when her legs got tired so she wasn’t dragged or left behind. I wanted to help my sisters but Mama was getting sick. Papa and I had to take care of her.  We didn’t have any blankets or extra layers to keep warm so at night we all had to huddle close for warmth. 

I knew it was going to be soon. I woke up one morning and Mama wasn’t there. I ran up to a white man and begged him to tell me where my Mama was. “Your mama is dead now go with your Papa,” he said. I cried. “Stay strong Nakoma,” he commanded.

Have you ever heard of the of the Carlisle boarding school for the Native Americans, well im going to tell you about it from a young Native American child. Hi, I am a native American young boy, so on Monday of 1880 I was playing outside with my friends and in a split second I was taken from my home and taken to the Carlisle Boarding School in Pennsavannia. They took me there and they forced me to cut off my long hair. Also, they forced me to change my name to a white mans name. All my Indian in me was slowly forced out of me and replaced with Western traditions, language, education, and religion. They wanted to destroy the Indian in me. I had to were a military uniform and engage in mitary drills. The man who started all of this was Captian Richard Henry Patt was in the 10th

 

Today we walked 10 miles everyone was fine but we lost people due to dysentery and frost bite we stayed in the barn for many nights it was hard for me to stay up I wish I could sleep hallucination occurred I dosed of for a good hour then proceeded to watch the natives suffer a kid woke me up looking sad cause his mom was sick I gave him hot water and a blanket then told him to go before his parents see him he told me his father died and his mom isn’t in good shape I told him stand tall.

Im at home playing with my sister in our room my father was just leaving to go to work and my mother is cooking in the kitchen , as me and my sister are playing we hear aloud scream from downstairs from our mother then we hear her say kids hide so my sister started crying and I tried making her be quite once I did we immediently hid in the closet I shut my eyes when I opened them I see a white american person grabbing me and my sister and bringing us downstairs my mother tried to gather some things up but they took them out of her hand they took us outside and while I was I saw some of my friends getting pulled out of their house to my the same white american man we then started walking far away from our homes they then put chains on us so we couldn’t escape they told us why they took us from our homes they said that they were going to take over our land and leave us in another land .We have been walking for hours and days I couldn’t keep track of how long we have been walking. We finally stopped it was time to sleep im soo glad my mom was here with me I would lay with her and my sister on my moms lap . But the next day my mom seemed to be alittle strange I asked her if she was sick she told me no shes fine I said ok
