We also decided to play with characters, which came from Rose's initial treatment. her treatment had the main character who was seeing and talking to her imaginary characters from a book she was writing. We liked the idea of these characters being eccentric, out-there personalities that didn't feel like real people, but rather book characters.

We spent the rest of the week writing the script, exploring our characters, figuring out relationships and power dynamics between the characters. 

We made a list of possible options and split it between us. Our task was to talk pricing and set up times to view the locations throughout the week. Our budget for locations was around 800 ponds, which isn't a lot when it comes to London, especially considering we had around 15 to 20 people on our crew and needed at least two days for filming. 
What was definitely helpful is that we are on campus, so William helped us with securing the library and the secret garden as the cemetery.

When it came to the actual two days of shooting, I did play these pieces. But I also brought quite a lot of sheet music books and used them as well.

Married but separated. Her husband used to take advantage of her musical talents and keep her music as his own. He presented everything she wrote to the world as something that was written by him. 

 

He then sent her into an asylum, after she stopped writing music and she was no good to him. 

 

She comes from a family that is calm and not very exciting. She always thought that her mother was dull, and her father was the funniest guy on the planet. She found it hard when it came to be married and she has never again met a man like her father. 

 

Once she found herself at Ivory Hill, she entered a state of chaos and calmness all the same time.

 

She finds playing the piano one of the only ways to express herself. If she’s angry, upset, happy, playing is her release.

 

She loves to dance, she always done very poorly at dancing, her husband refused to dance with her. So now she dances alone, very happily so. 

 

Her favourite color is yellow.

 

She loves to wear white dresses and she curls her hair every day. 

 

If she could be a flower, she would be a daisy. 

 

She isn’t looking for company or a man, she’s perfectly happy in her own world. 

 

She is intrigued by Robin because she sees herself in her. Robin is talented and young, and her talents haven’t been waisted yet or shut down or used by someone. She uses music as a way of communicating with Robin.
