Claim of fact: Buying locally actually affects the global economy.
Evidence: "it's also true that a campaign to shame English consumers with small airplane stickers affixed to flown-in produce threatens the livelihood of 1.5 million sub-Saharan farmers" (McWilliams).
Warrant: By buying locally, the farmers in other parts of the world lose their business because the source of income isn't coming to them. This could result in the workers losing their jobs.

Opposing Argument-Locally buying food would help the farmers that are local, therefore it would help everyone.
Rebuttal-Although it does help the local farmers, it does leave the far away farmers with nothing, making no profit off of anything.
This counter argument is very effective because it totally rules out locavore thinking on this topic.
