"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today" ( Malcolm X).

Children need to be taught the value of education. Success is the door which requires the key of education to unlock.

One day in class, a fellow classmate compared education to a motorcar race. He said that it is not fair that some children are driving in Ferrari and others in Toyota.
Basically what he meant is that learners who receive the best education will ultimately finish in a better time.

I personally do not believe that but please do share your thoughts...

I just read that children should be taught how to think not what to think, and I believe in that statement. As children we do not understand the basic idea behind education. I always asked myself why must we do all these different subjects at school? Why can't I just do the subjects I like and that I'm good at? Then in matric I realised that we were taught all those subjects to establish what we're good at and what profession we could possibly finding ourselves doing. Education is only a race if you allow it to be a race.

Honestly I believe that education is whatever the learner chooses to make of it ...if you choose to put in the extra effort irrespective of the fact that you may be at a disadvantage economically you can still finish the race.Your hustle and drive should always be strong

I honestly believe that when a child is given an education, that is the greatest gift they will every receive. The opportunity to learn is given so they can broader their knowledge. Children should not see it as one is better than the other.

Hi!! I personally disagree when you say kids who receive a better education finishes better off, because at the end of the day no matter what your condition, your situation, the school you attend and the type of education you receive I believe it's what you as an individual make out of it. You are your own motivation. There are many kids in the world that came out TOPS and they literally had NOTHING but they were dedicated and did their best.

This topic is very serious and I don't think a lot of people realize how serious is it is. In this regard, facilitating comes into play. Learner's should be given the opportunity to develop their own opinion through critical thinking skills. It's rather sad that there are many teachers trying to impose their way on other learner's.
