After a huge season full with hard work and many obstacles school was finally over. I was exhausted. The first day of my summer vacation was supposed to be a pleasure for me. But instead of going to a mountain or the country I was forced to follow my family to the beach.
   As long as I remember myself I hated the sea and the place around it but I couldn't explain why. I just didn't have fun when I was there. But that day there was something different. The air was salty and gentle, I could feel it's tepidity. When I saw the sea I was stunned by it's beauty. It's waters where blue, crystal and completely clear. I was able to touch the golden sand and I thought I would easily sleep there. 10 meters from the sand there was a small port where you could hear the sound of the pelicans and the sea birds. After all these moments, without a second thought Ι dived into the water from the port. 
    I was finally relaxed and I knew how wrong I was to hate the beach because today this beach in Greece is my favorite destination.

Hello. I’m writing to narrate you the time I had, when I went to Nauplion for an one-day trip last month with my school. It was so much fun and relaxation too.

We gathered all together at school and prepared to leave. Approximately at 8:30 we had left behind school and we were heading direct to Nauplion. We did a bait in Mykines and another one at an ancient temple near Nauplion. When we finally arrived the time was 13:30 with a delay about two hours. I and my friends went for a walk across the seaside and then to cafeteria for milkshakes. After talking for a while and drinking our milkshakes we paid and left. One of my friends who is from Nauplion told us that he could guide us around the area.

We found it a perfect idea and a good chance to see the town center. So we started walking around and sightseeing. The time was running and we had to gather again in the main town square so the teachers could see we were all fine. There was great old temple made by stone that we saw and went inside to worship. Not long after that we felt hungry and decided to sit at a traditional restaurant. As we were waiting for our order we could smell the fresh grilled meat and the spices.

Following, we wanted some of the famous ice cream of Nauplion; we had a little time left, so we had to hurry. We preempted to get an ice cream and then we heard a known voice, it was one of our teachers who told us to quick and straight to the bus. In the end we were in time.
 
I have to go now, because I have basketball practice. I hope you’re having fun too. Say “hi” to your mother for me. Bye from me.

I will always remember my first trip to Nauplion. It was ten years ago. My country, Norway, has cold and cloudy climate, so I have always wanted to see a country with different, shiny and hot weather. When my wife saw a photo of Nauplion and suggested to go there on summer holidays I told her: ‘What are we waiting for? Let’s go to Greece! ´.  A few days later we arrived at the airport of Athens…

We had a wonderful time in Nauplion and we enjoyed both the sun and the sea. It was the 6th day of our trip and we had decided to visit a local beach, when in our way we got lost. Suddenly, while we were crossing a small road in a forest it started to rain. We had no idea where to go and we wanted to eat. A few minutes later, we saw smoke coming from chimneys, we smelt traditional Greek food and finally we heard human voices. We followed our senses and we went to a village. There, its residents welcomed us and offered us accommodation and food.

Now, we visit this village every year and we will always thank the villagers for the help that gave us that day.

I am writing to tell you about my trip to Lapland, the place that I visited with two of my best friends last weekend, George and Kostas.We were so excited and thrilled when we booked tickets to Finland, since we all wanted some temporary vacations so badly.But, the happiness and the excitement that we all had would eventually turned out to fear...

So, as soon as we landed and got out of the airplane, we stopped in a near cafe and started thinking were we should go first.Also, we had the opportunity there to taste some of the local dishes and snacks.They were delicious!Suddenly, we heard a group of people, talking about how fascinating and beautiful was a place there that was called Lapland, a small village just 15 kilometres away.After hearing that, we got in our car and went as quickly as possible to this village.Once we got there, we saw a beautiful little cave and since nobody lived there, we thought that it would be a good idea to stay there for the night.

As we were settling down, we suddenly heard a strange noise coming out of the cave.I went outside to see what was it and as I was looking around,I saw a strange figure inside the woods. As I was starring at it, the figure started coming closer and closer. So, I got so frightened I got inside the cave and hide there with my friends until the morning.

They were both excited to see each other after a long time being apart. As soon as Anita left her suitcases in her hotel room, they went to the Christmas market in town.

It was full of stands with traditional products and sellers who offered their help willingly to all customers. Anita and Jacob saw an old woman selling spices. Anita wanted to buy some but she realized that they were very expensive, so she asked the old woman about them. She explained that they were special spices. Although Jacob had restrictions about buying those strange spices, Anita was curious and bought some.

The next day, Anita wanted to try the spices with their lunch. Jacob  found them odious, but Anita was obstinate. After trying them she made a frown of disgust and absolute dislike.

No sooner had she arrived in her hotel, than she started having a vertigo. She called Jacob but neither of them could explain her sudden sickness.

Jacob came to Anita's hotel to take care of her. Anita recommended he open the TV and watch something to relax. Then they learnt the news! The police had arrested an old drug dealer in the Christmas market! Anita recognized the woman...

Me and my parents had the chance to travel to once. So we decided to go to visit ST.Petersburg in Russia.
   When we arrived at the airport i could immediately feel the cold wind of Russia on my skin. We rushed in the hotel in order to leave our stuff and finally go sightseeing. We decided that we should visit places with cultural interest.So we visited the palace square,as the main square of the Russian Empire it was the setting of many events of historic significance.
   Afterwards,we visited the palace of Peterhof. Nothing can prepare you for the sense of wonder and awe you feel when you firstly set eyes upon the palace. The sheer size off the structure alone made me shake my head in disbelief. Then we visited the church of Saint Alexander Nevsky which is situated in the palace.
   Last but definitely not least, we attended the Русский фестиваль food festival. The amazing smell tempted us to try out every one of their dishes. So we did.Everything was delicious, we couldn't stop eating. It was a surreal experience.
  ST.Petersburg is one of the places i have visited that i still dream about. It didn't just live up to my expectations, it exceeded them.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Every year we celebrate Christmas altogether as family. At Christmas special food is eaten and we give each other cards and presents. We open our presents and decorate 10 years old; I and my family went to Lapland, Finland to meet some friends our house with a Christmas tree. That’s what happens every year but once when I was 

When we arrived there we saw everywhere around us the amazing white snow. The scenery was breathtaking. It was really cold so we were really happy we could taste the amazing hot tee that Ms.Mary had prepared for us. 

The first day we put a Christmas tree in the house and decorate it with colored lights and balls. We also made a special Christmas pudding that is eaten at Christmas.

 Then the next days we were having fun playing with the snow. We made a snowman and we were throwing snowballs at each other. We had a great time! 

On Christmas Eve, we set the table and after an amazing meal we went altogether and opened our presents. After spending there a whole week, it was time to return back to Greece.

These Christmas holidays were the best of my life and I will never forget them. We had a great time decorating the house, playing with the snow and opening our presents. I wish in the future I could experience Christmas holidays as fantastic as those.

We could feel the the breeze as we were walking in the streets of the city. Me and two of my friends, Dan and John.

When we arrived at our hotel, the receptionist said that something was wrong with our booking and that there was no room available that moment. We had just arrived from our 5-hour flight, hungry and tired and this had to happened.

For the night, they let us stay at the welcome lounge. At least we had somewhere to sleep... Dan opened his bag to search for our passports but he couldn't find them. What a disaster! We had to spend a whole day trying to find a way in order to be able to return to our country. John was anxious. I asked him what is he worried about but he told me he was ok. Then he confessed. He had forgotten his wallet back home and we didn't have money. 

So there we are, hungry, tired, with no money, no passports and not a place to sleep. At least they let us change the day of our return and it was obvious that we would leave as soon as possible. We didn't have a chance to see Helsinki and taste its famous cuisine but we totally forgot sightseeing with all that had happened. I don't think we will ever forget this kind of experience.

Last Christmas, my family and I decided to spend our holidays somewhere abroad. We wanted them to be special so we travelled far away. Can you guess were? We went to Finland! We had booked a room in a very picturesque hotel, in a village named Lapland.

It was fantastic there! All the buildings were made of wood and the roads were covered with snow. When we arrived at the hotel, we went to the reception in order to take our room's key. There, I saw a huge christmas tree with colourful lights. It was really impressive!

Then, we went upstairs and after a few hours of relaxation and sleep, we visited the restaurant in the first floor. We ordered some traditional dishes of Finland. To be honest I don't remember their names, but I can assure you that they were delicious! During our dinner I could listen to the rain pattering against the window and it made me feel so calm that the thought of staying there all night was very appealing.

The next morning we went out to explore the village and its sightseeings. We also played with the snow and went for sleigh riding and skiing. We actually saw a raindeer, as well. We had a really good time!

What about coming with as the forthcoming Christmas? We are going to visit Lapland again. That way we will be able to have fun together and to experience all the amazing activities that are available there! I'm looking forward to reading your letter!

The sun was shining and the birds were singing. John wanted just to go and swim in the magical beaches of Nauplion.

Firstly, he bought a coffee and then he went to take the bus for the beaches of Nauplion. A strange man sat by him and started looking at his wallet. Then, he told him his name and came a little bit closer. Then, John saw that he has arrived at his destination.

Suddenly, he saw that his wallet was and he cannot pay a coffee that he bought. He went to the police and asked them to arrest teh thief, because he needed the money in the wallet very much. He was very angry and he was sure that Kostas has done it. He went for a walk and finally a result was found from the police.

They said that a greek called Kostas, came three hours ago and gave us a wallet, saying that it was missed by someone called John Papadakos, with the same characteristics like me. I was very very surprised and wanted to thank him. I was so relieved!

It looked like a giant fortress from ancient times to my six-year old self. That first time we went to visit I will never forget. It was me, my parents and my aunt. I had been bored because of the long road between Athens and Nauplio so I was really exited to see the castle I had heard so many stories about. 
The day was hot so before going to the castle, we decided to spend a few hours at the beach. Afterwards we went to a restaurant and ate. The food was quite tasty. Once the afternoon finaly came, we headed to the castle. I immediately started to explore it.
 Our next few trips went like the first one, but each time the castle seemed different. Sometimes it seemed endless, bueatifull and impressive while other times it seemed small, ugly and like a piece of ruble. 
Even today, after so many trips to that castle, it is hard for me to 
describe the feelings that that castle makes me have.
