CAS and CBEA session.

What I learned from the sessions attended:
-One speaker voiced "Joining seminars/talks can help in changing/molding your perspective and enlighten other realities" and  I think this is the essence of seminars/talks and that is why we should never take these opportunities for granted.
-"Be an active citizen" The CBEA session shared how their passion be of effect to the social dimension. How one political platform addresses the social effect (livelihood and household) of construction of airport in chosen province. How the academe can help in understanding social patterns and issues, Etc. 

Using our passion and MC core values as our foundation and as an active trait in becoming women leaders, being of service to others is my overall learning from the sessions. I have attended the CAS and CBEA sessions.

What I have learned from the 2 sessions:
CAS
I have learned how valuable it is to carry the MC core values with me in whatever career I will have in the future. The speakers in the event inspired me to do the things the I love not only for my personal growth, but also for the good of others. They have succeeded in various fields such as social work and law, and at the same time touched the lives of so many people not only in our country but also in different parts of the world. One of the speakers talked about how she didn't expect to run for office, but she is glad that she was able to do something good for others. Her achievements included initiating the construction of an airport in the province. The messages of the speakers inspired me to work hard today so that I can reach out to more people in the future even in my own ways. 

CBEA
The talk reminded me of the importance of being socially aware. It is important that we also educate ourselves on the issues around us to also identify how we can help in addressing them. The first speaker also shared how she experience doing social work in New York. It was a very inspiring and eye-opening sharing. It reminded me that there are several ways on how we can help solve huge problems in society such as poverty. We can utilize our own skills and career in making a positive change. The essence of the saying "read the signs of the times" was further discussed during the session. I think this is a very good reminder for us, the youth of this generation with all the things that are happening around us. I think that we should be more sensitive of the needs of others and recognize the ways on how we can help our world. CAS & CED

I've learned from both sessions that it is important to carry over the values that have been instilled in us and use those values in helping other people to be able to contribute to society. The speakers are very successful in life, even those that didn't expect they'd be going through this path. It made me realize that there might be some obstacles in mine and there might be paths that I don't recognize yet or I had no idea why I got here, but everything will make sense in the future. The speakers also remind us of being aware of the environment around us and see what needs to be improved on and be able to put our skills and abilities to good use.
