to bully people, I don't really care since it is a fictional story. I think his

song is funny and how he is shorter, dumber and the same skin colour 

makes him a funny hypocrite. Also, sometimes he talk about how people 

should  respect him seriously which i thought was just weird. So, in the end

I think John John is a funny, short, hypocritical song maker that is awesome.

"The Skin I'm In", I would grant Maleeka a wish.

I think Maleeka would wish to be respected and

be able to hang out with char and the twins, and

for her to have better clothes and that new 

teacher Ms. Saunders to scram. I hope Maleeka 

would wish for her mother to get a better job and

a girl being bullied for her skin colour who gained confidence over time. That just shows

how we should treat each other not by our skin colour or clothes and also, Miss. Saunders

has a big ugly blotch on her face but what she has taught us is that you should be proud

of who you are and what you look like, ignore what people say or do because you can

achieve whatever you want if you try. Miss Saunders looks like that and works for an

advertisement company, and is making quite a lot of money from it.

In conclusion I would like to send John-John to space as punishment for bullying.

with the supplies of a empty journal and

a sharped penciel, so she can write more about Akeelma and

just write who she feels in outer space and to write it down as Akeelma. If i were her those would be my 2 important things to bring because i too have my own little journal/diary but i dont write in it every day i useally write down things that were mayjor at school, Mayhem Brothers came and taught us a new dance or we learned about how to use matireals wisely, it could really be anything.Personally those are the 2 things that Maleeka would need if i were her going up to space for a few months.

In this story Miss Saunders, the new English teacher, has this white blotched spot across her face and the students make fun of her because of it. But Miss Saunders trusts and has a lot of dignity and accepts herself for who she is, even though she has a stain on her face.

When Maleeka, a girl with a darker skin, saw Miss Saunders for the first time, she was humiliated of her, but Miss Saunders DID NOT CARE. Maleeka was afraid and concerned for Miss Saunders because she didn't want Miss Saunders to end up where Maleeka was currently in. Maleeka didn't trust in herself and only thought of what other people thought of her and did not remember who she was as her true self.

The author is letting the readers know and LEARN from Miss Saunders that you shouldn't care what other people think of you; you just have to accept yourself for who you are.

The 1st item, the "Akeelma" diary / journal is the item I would choose for Maleeka because she can continue to write down everything about her trip and what she is going through, like what is it like to be in space.

The 2nd item I'd choose for Maleeka is her special mirror that her father gave her as a gift because that way she can have memories of what her dad said to her during middle school before he passed away "Maleeka, you've got to see yourself with your own eyes. That's the only way you gonna know who you really are."

I think Maleeka would wish to have better clothes because in the book, she always wore ragged clothes made by her mother to save money when her father passed away. Because of Maleeka's unpopular ragged clothes, she gets made fun of at school by other kids in addition of teasing her for her darker skin.

I hope Maleeka would wish to be able to stand up to Char and John-John and all the other kids when she was getting teased instead of always being at the bottom and always being unpopular. I also hope that Maleeka would wish for her MOMMA to get an easier and better job that way her momma doesn't have to work extra hard to earn money.

I truly believe that when Maleeka becomes older, she'll have a better life knowing that her skin is beautiful.
