Joseph Stalin caused the death of many people, due to his regime of terror. He had a lot of power in the nation, everything that he said had to be done exactly as he described; this brought many good things for the economy and industrialization, but it also caused the deaths of millions of people. He rebelled himself and turned himself into a dictator. He also caused big civil wars and revolutions.

Soviet law, which was developed in Russia and later imposed in the Soviet Union, was one of the laws that radiclly changed the country for more than 70 years.
The law revived certain features of earlier tsarist law, shared key elements with the law of other dictatorships, and introduced public ownership of the means of production and subordination of the legal system to the Soviet communist party.

It decreed that suspected enemies of the revolution should be eliminated without trials; it expropriated land, banks, insurance companies, and large factories; and it promulgated its ideology and suppressed opposing speech.

There were not many benefited groups of people from this, since the new communism law impacted many of the rich and poor groups by making everyone the same. It was good for the economy but at the same time people were getting tired of this new way of ruling. Stalin said he wanted to purge society by making a system in which the poor wont be able to catch up to the way of living and will eventually die. This caused a big conflict between the people and the government, since most of the population at the time had not enough income to live a proper life.

Stalinism affected thousands of people, but farmers where one of the most damaged groups of people. When Stalin took power, Soviet agriculture was still dominated by small landowners and lighted by famines and inefficiency.

Stalin modernises agriculture by grouping together the farms to be owned by the state. This was definetley opposed by millions of ordinary farmers who resort to killing livestock and secretly hoarding grain. Around five million die in a series of famines. Nevertheless, Stalin believes the end justifies the means and millions of small holders are killed or imprisoned. By the late 1930s farming is fully collectivised and productivity increases.
