Pont-Audemer is a little town whose earliest records date back to the 8th century. The town was built on a marsh and is crossed by the Risle and other many small river. During the visit, we have seen several places in the city such as Saint-Ouen church, Alfred Canel Museum, Music school and the dam. The dam is located on the Risle and it has been refurbished with a Fish pass, so that the different species of fish can swim in the River.

During my Erasmus exchange in Portugal, I learnt more about water and its resources. I visited the Lisbon Aquarium, where I observed various species of marine flora and fauna. Our visit to the Santo André Lagoon taught me that the lagoon mixes fresh and salt water in a peaceful, natural setting. On the cultural side, I saw some magnificent artistic sculptures and learnt about several traditional Portuguese games; I also got to try some pastel de nata.

During my Erasmus trip to Portugal, I learned a lot about the lagoon and its biodiversity. We visited the lagoon around Santo André, the largest on the Alentejo coast. It is located in the Santo Andre and Sancha Lagoons Nature Reserve and measures 5 km long and 1 km wide. It is home to several species, including birds such as the red-billed duck and the reed warbler, as well as eels, which are caught during the spring when the lagoon and the sea meet. I also visited several places around Santo André, which allowed me to discover the area’s biodiversity, including cacti, fir trees, palm trees, and cork oaks—in short, flora typical of rather dry regions.

During my Erasmus trip I lived an unforgettable stay and met wonderful people! I learned a lot about the history of the country, songs, traditional meals... I discovered an education different from ours but just as interesting! We were able to observe the magnificent landscape during the outings. Thank you for this stay I can't wait to do one again!!

During my trip to Portugal, I visited beautiful lagoons with clear water and amazing landscapes. The lagoons were peaceful and surrounded by nature, making them a perfect place to relax. I also had the chance to see giraffes in a zooparc, which was a very good experience. They were tall, elegant, and fascinating to watch. This trip allowed me to discover both beautiful natural places and incredible animals, making it a memorable journey.

Portugal is a crucial sanctuary for several endengered iberian species and serves a vital stopover area for a millions of migratory birds.

During my Erasmus trip to Portugal, I discovered some incredible landscapes along the coast. One of my favorite places was Praia da Samoqueira.

The view of this beach is amazing: the Atlantic Ocean, the big rocks in the water, and the sun reflecting on the sea. This coastal area has a rich and preserved biodiversity with beautiful nature.

During the trip, we also explored other protected areas and unique ecosystems in the region. It was a perfect journey to enjoy the ocean breeze and discover the beautiful Portuguese coastline. It was truly an unforgettable experience!
