This act required parents to make sure their children knew how to read, by making it their jobs as parents and if they couldn't not, then a person who was qualified must do so. About 5 years later the community schooling for children was created. I ranked this number one because without this act, we may have never had created public schools with a qualified teacher teaching our children. Board of Education of Topeka is important because it ended segregation in the educational system. It fought to threw out the unconstitutional term separate but equal implicated in the educational system by separating schools based on race and color. After court ruling, it gave all around equality to all students. It won on providing evidence that separating students was potentially harmful and disruptive in the learning process and needed to be removed and all students needed to be put together. I ranked this 3rd because it brought attention how separated our country was and how all Americans deserve the same right to have the same education to be able to achieve.
