I would give Fatty Legs a 4/5 stars because I did like the book. But sometimes I got a tiny bit bored. She really wanted to be like Rosie (Ayouniq) and learn how to read. She and Rosie were talking and Rosie said to try it for yourself. She begged and begged her father to let her go until he said yes. When they have arrived in Aklavik, they bought Margaret new stockings for school. But when she was in the school, they gave her other ones to wear and didn't let her wear her other ones. Later in the year, she finally learned how to read. She read Alice In Wonderland many times. But when the year finally ended, she got a letter from her dad. It said they are not coming back to get her this year. She cried until the letter was soaked. But she started her second year. But one day everyone got new stockings. But she got red ones that made her legs look big. So the Gwitch'in girls called her "Fatty Legs!" But one day Margaret called her "Fatty Face!" And got sent to do laundry. But while she was in there, she burned her red stockings and wore the ones her mom bought her. And finally at the end of the year, they came back and got her from the school.
