Start with your name at the top. Then, record 2 things that stood out to you from our trip yesterday and explain why. Also, why are you thankful for going on this trip? I am sending this to Dr. Lawrence to show him why his funding for our trip was well spent.

One thing that stood out to me was the amount of Jewish hate that still exists to this day. Living in a community where there is not a large Jewish population, you don't see Jewish discrimination very often. I learned a lot from that exhibit. Another thing that stood out to me was the name of the museum, which seems sort of odd. Using the word "tolerance" to speak about racial diversity makes it sound like people need to "tolerate" people of other cultures. It sounds like the bare minimum.

I'm grateful for the great information from our tour guide and the perspective she gave us as a descendent of Holocaust survivors.

His story and actions as a Nazi hunter, which portrayed his commitment were astonishing.
Thank you for allowing us this opportunity to learn and to become more educated.
I'm thankful to learn things I didn't know before and how I can help with global issues.

We learned so much at the Museum of Tolerance. I was extremely shocked to see the photos and videos of that showed the state of the Jews after being liberated from the concentration camps. Another thing that stood out was that after the Jews were liberated, some died from the shock of eating real food for the first time in years, and some died after eating the rich, nutritious food the Russians and Americans gave them because their starved bodies couldn't process the food.
I'm grateful for this trip because it helps us learn the story of the survivors and develops our sense of empathy.

Another thing was that Hitler committed suicide and that was really annoying because he didn't get to suffer any consequences for ruining people's life. I was thankful for going on this trip because it got to open up my view of different things happening around the world and the things that in the holocaust. I am very thankful for this experience and hope to experience something similar soon.

I was surprised to learned that they used the hair that was cut off to stuff pillows for generals. Also the fact that when the Americans came, liberated and fed them; those who ate died the next day due to their bodies not being able to digest all the rich food given to them. I am thankful for being able to go on this trip and learn a few new things. Thank you for allowing us to go.
