Social media has become a very important part on peoples’ lives, as time passes by, social media has stopped just being a plataform to share fun moments with your friends or family, it has become a place of work, a way to contact old friends you stopped seeing, you have News from all around the world, you can get help to study without even paying, among many other things.

Social media has a lot of influence on peoples’ lives, but in my opinion, things are not always as good as they look. Young teens have started to develop a need to compare themselves to 28 year old that they see online, many fake News can be spread around in social media, scams and frauds are typical, small children see and learn things they should not know at their young age.

Social media can be a very helpful tool, as long as we are mature and careful enough, if we handle it well, social media can be amazing, at a right age, with the right precautions

To proceed with the exchange programme, the aim of this report is to summarized the opinions of the students at our school, to give information about our establishmant and inform about the extra-curricular activities our school offers.

Information about the school.

The Scuola Italiana, La serena is a school based on discipline, respect, sharpness and achievement, therefor all of our students must look neat attending to school, with correct use of the uniform.

Students must be responsible with their work, and be respectful to absolutely everyone attending the school.

What students like about our school.

Based on a survey applied on our students, their favorite thing about our school, is the facilities to have a friendly and active environment throughout your years at our school.

Extra-curricular activities for students.

Our school offers a big extra-curricular plan, including sports like, rugby, basketball, hockey, football and many more. To participate you need to arrange the first day or talk to the school councilor.

To conclude.

We are looking forward to this exchange programme, it would be an amazing expirience for our students and the Irish students that come and participate.

Political News in my opinion are a must, everyone should keep up with what’s happpening in the world. It makes you a cultured person to know about politics, it allows you to make good decisions for your country, but in the other hand, fake news about political topics also have a big impact on the decisions people make.

Crime news are also very important but i think that the way they’re shown is wrong, they all show violence against the inocent people, injustice and murder, wich makes people live with fear and not trust anyone. Although I think we should be more careful with who we trust and how we live, I think the main concern should be ending crime, not showing everything bad that’s happening just to scare people.

In my personal opinion, we should all be very careful with the news we watch, we should be careful on what we believe and how much we let ourselves get affected by them, but it is very important that we stay informed on what’s going on with our world and the political decisions that are being taken.

Purpose The purpose of this report is to make known how a small town in the north of Chile, faced a challenge this year by hosting one of the biggest music festivals, wich brought a lot of attention, tourist, commerce but also, pollution and robbery.

Tourism growth

With Coachella in such a small town, all hotels were booked and all our our beaches were completely crowded with people from all over the world. On short terms this festival brought an insane amount of tourist, but on a long term, this will help a lot not only La Serena’s tourism and attention from the world, but it will allow the whole country to be even more known for it’s tourism.

Commerce and economy

This event helped to develop our national economy, it produced twice as much as it was predicted to produce in a period of 3 years, wich now to invest and improving the city to make it an incredible tourist destination.

Robbery and pollution

The festival caused a large amount of pollution to the small city and, a big amount of thieves; the small stores faced a lot of robberies and a lot of street fights.

During the festival around 200 people were injured, had to be taken to the hospital and one of them passed.

Conclusion

The festival was a great way to improve the city’s attractions, helped with the national economy and made the country a more known tourist destination, but just as any other festival, it left a lot of people injured, and made the small commerce face small robberies.
