2. I have currently completed my Fundamentals of Digital Marketing offered by Google, and I managed to obtain a certification

3. At my week 1, the main point that I remember is the great opportunity of having a growth mindset. As digital marketing Is not my forte however I found join in learning and adapting to important skills

4. I feel joyful that I am able to complete the first course and now I have a better understanding on the modus operandi of digital marketing and how eventually I can apply it .

5. I can now learn to apply relevant keywords and see how search engine rank them as the same it will do for digital businesses via its search engine

6. Yes, the terms and subject to be learn is not something that I had learn before. Terms like SEM etc, however I find that I am able to cope via adopting a growth mindset, taking learning as a journey and also having passion and interest as my main driving force

2. I have learned how to properly open durians, and put the content inside a food container.

3. Always be aware of the safety hazard especially when handling sharps (knifes and axes). Always wear PPE which is a thick glove on the hand handling the durian. Make sure not to overpower on twisting the sharps as they will slide thru the slippery durian skin and cut the hands. Injured hands are not functioning any better than uninjured hands. Make sure the line markings on durians are properly determined before the cutting and chopping session begins. When transferring the durian content, make sure the flesh is properly placed so that the presentation looks appetizing. Lastly, make sure the durians are cleaned from any dirt or leaves as these will fall off when opening the durians, contaminating the content inside the food container.

4. Opening a durian is not as easy as I thought. It took a considerable amount of time to master it. First is the line markings on the durians, as some durians have line markings which are not as obvious as the one seen in the famous Musangking (5 pointed star). Next, when handling durians, food hygiene is very important as no one wants their food has many hand contact with it or some inedible things in the soft, sticky durians.

5. I have understood the importance of food hygiene and food safety which can put into practice on making my own food in the future.

6. In the beginning on opening the durians, I feel hard to lifting up the durian content and putting it into the food container nicely as the flesh are soft and fragile. Therefore, to overcome this, I have practice the cutting and serving skills on the faulty durians, where the durians are not worthy on selling as a whole on the table/shelves, and practice makes perfect.

2. I joined the EdTech Hackathon program held by CESMED UKM in collaboration with Switch and MTDC, with my other 4 group mates. During the first week, I attend the scheduled lectures, which includes Introduction to EdTech Hackathon, Technology and Innovation in Teaching and Learning, Design Thinking, and 3D Printing prototyping tool. However, there were two lectures (on Apple prototyping tool and Figma prototyping tool) that I only managed to watch via recordings because I had OSCE examinations on the days of the lectures. Other than that, I also brainstormed ideas with my group mates on the concept of the application that my group were planning to develop, according to our capabilities.

When doing a business, there are structured steps to go through (for example, value identification and market research ) which involves complexity of thinking. These steps are what differentiate small business and large successful business.
2 skills which are very in demand today are entrepreneurship skills and IT skills.
There are lots of educational applications that can help students in their studies out there such as “Spatial io” and “Tapia”. However, not many students know about these applications. Having said that, students only need to google these applications, according to their study needs, to find them.

4. I felt excited but also overwhelmed as I was stepping out of my comfort zone and learning about a new field (business and IT). However, I believe stepping out of our comfort zone are necessary for personal growth.

5. Apply the prototyping knowledge in the process of developing an application that can solve existing problems.

6. This 1 month program clashed with our postponed final exams. I was concerned about not being able to focus to either one of them. However I believe I coped well by having good time and stress management. I also asked permission from the organiser to be excused from the program for the days I have the exams.

2. My friend, Calvin Tan and I collaborated and created a shopee seller account. We planned to dropship some products and earn some money from the dropshipping.
3. From week 1, the take home message is to figure out how dropshipping works and the tactics to boost sales.
4. I feel excited to step out of my comfort zone and trying entrepreneurship for the first time. To me, dropshipping is a brand new idea and it requires innovation and creative ideas to boost sales.
5. I can now learn to compare sellers and the price difference for each product on every online shopping platform.
6. So far, there isn't much difficulties except for the need to approach each seller and offered the idea of dropshipping their products and reselling it to the buyers.

2. My friends and I joined the Edtech Hackathon competition held by CESMED UKM. The aim of this program was to challenge students to come up with innovative solutions to solve problems according to the theme given which was: Education technology, post COVID-19. During the first week, my friends and I had a long brainstorming session to decide on our grand innovative idea. Besides that, I also attended the weekly lectures by CESMED such as Introduction to Edtech Hackathon, Technology and Innovation in Teaching and Learning, Design Thinking, 3D Printing prototype tool, Apple prototyping tool and Figma prototyping tool that was held in Microsoft teams. Lastly, I did a survey on my instagram page to find out what kind of problems students were currently facing due to the pandemic to help us explore other potential application ideas.

3. Points to remember include:

The easiest way to come up with a solution is by first identifying the problems that we face in our daily lives!
There are many learning tools that we can use to help us study especially during this pandemic (Topia, Mentimeter, Kahoot)
Each person has their own strengths and weaknesses, team members should try to compliment each other when working together.

4. Feelings and thoughts:
I was very excited to begin developing our application as I love learning new things and growing my potential. However, I was also scared because I have no background knowledge of technology or programming whatsoever. I tried to stay optimistic by telling myself that it was too good an opportunity to waste if I didn’t try it and I had nothing to lose.

5. 1 good thing that I can practice now is using the figma application to come up with an application prototype. Besides that, my innovative thinking is now easily triggered when facing a problem.

6. One of the main difficulties that we faced was coming up with an application idea as it can’t be something that already exists and it has to tackle current education problems. We wanted to create something that could help a lot of students but was afraid to go big as we had no prior knowledge nor skills in developing an application. How I coped was by watching youtube videos on the application developing softwares that was introduced to us during the lectures. Besides that, my teammates also gave me the support and encouragement that I needed when I felt like I could not move forward with the application.

2. My friend, Wee Wen Hui and I collaborated and created a shopee seller account to do dropshipping. We are selling several products together.

3. For week 1, the we figure out how dropshipping works from websites and youtubes and also the tactics to boost sales and views.

4. It is the first time for me to try entrepreneurship. It is a good idea to start up an e-commerce business in this covid era, as everyone is staying at home and doing online shopping.

5. I learn to compare products from different sellers(suppliers) in terms of pricing, sales and rating from different online shopping platform.

6. There is not much obstacles met except the need to approach different seller and gain permission to dropship their products.

6. For the upcoming week, we planned to approach more sellers and collaborated for more dropshipping products. Besides that, we will try to use shopee ads to increase our product views. We have successfully nominated some of our products for shopee 8.8 sales to boost our sales.

2. My friends and I decided to join Edtech Hackathon competition as our elective posting. For the first week, we were given a few lectures about design thinking and prototyping tools that might help us to figure out what we wanted to do and how to develop our apps later.

3. In one of the lecture, I learnt that we have to make sure that we know who our client are and fully understand their struggle in order to come out with a product. It does not matter if our target audience is small as long as it will benefit both of us.

4. When I first entered this competition, I wasn't very sure if I can do it since it is not something related to medicine and I have zero knowledge about it. However, the fact that I am joining this with my friends will definitely make it much more entertaining and fun. On the bright side, I get to learn a few skills that might help me in the future and I have my friends to guide me in case im lost.

5. In one of the lecture, we were taught about a website called Topia which allow us to have a meeting similar to Zoom but in virtual world where you can see your friends dance and walk around as a cartoon. I found it very interesting and will definitely tell my other friends about this website for our study group session in the future.

6. Since I am a medical student, it was very challenging for me to understand what had been taught especially when the lecturers told us something related to IT or business. I also found it hard to figure on what we wanted do since there are a lot of applications out there and what make our apps unique.

2) What have you done ?

Well for my elective posting project , I decided to introduce my small bussiness which is Sambal Terngiang . Why i choose sambal ? Because I'm a student and the only food that are fast and easy to consume is sambal . During my first week , I start working on my sambal terngiang with my friend ( Syahira ) by learning recipe from internet and my mom to make the best sambal . We keep adjusting the ingredients to make sure that my Sambal taste different from other Sambal .

Combining 2 recipes definitely the best decision as it makes the perfect Sambal ever . I'm glad Syahira stay together with me as the ideas keep growing and we end up producing perfect Sambal Petai Ikan Bilis .

3) Points to remember from week 1 ?

Cooperation . Handling new bussiness is not an easy task as it require lots of opinion to gain consumer trust . Having bussiness partner to cooperate definitely makes the process run smoothly .

4) Your feelings & thoughts

Excited . I can't wait until the day we produce the Sambal and see peoples reaction to the Sambal .

5) 1 good thing from what you did that you can practice now ?

Cooperation . I learned that cooperation is what i keep applied in this whole week. . As this value really important in medical school , im glad that i keep improving myself to cooperate with people .

6) Any difficulties/concerns ? How did you cope .

The difficulties that we face during the process in making the sambal is to find the best Chilies . As what we know , the best chili makes the best sambal . Various types of chilies with different level of spiciness makes us struggle to find the perfect one.

We cope this problem by asking others opinion which chilies are better to use and we manage to overcome it.

We plan to start looking for supplier who offer the best price for our packaging ( bottles , sticker and sealer ) . From that we can start to advertise the sambal and sell it !!

2. My friend Nadirah and I make sambal based on recipes that we find on the internet combines also with her mother's recipe. In addition, we also made some changes to the sambal’s recipe according to the taste we want, we have added petai with anchovies in our recipe to make our sambal more variety. Special thing about our sambal that we make, it can be eat anytime and anywhere.
3. cooperation between partners because it involves 2 people in a business. so a good communication and understanding between business partner is very important because, if there is no good cooperation, the business can not be operate well. sometimes when there is a misunderstanding we should resolve it immediately.
4. Excited to start a new business with friend and I really wanted people to taste our sambal as we do it with effort.
5. Cooperation because in medical field works a lot in team, so cooperation between team member who we are working with can ease our job in future.

The difficulty that I experienced, was during the process of making the sambal itself because the selection of the right wet ingredients like the best chillies plays a role in giving it the best taste in our food. how i cope with it is by having a positive mindset to not give up and always trust my partner and myself.

2. How is your progress? – Now I have progressed to learn useful skills to supplement the digital marketing skills which is Beginner Google Analytic Skiills. I am also learning other Google tools such as Google Keyword Planner, Google Adverts and etc.

3. Points to remember from week 2 !- The ability to visualize data is vital in our current age, where data will supplement us with important decision making skills. Other than that, As I explore, I realised Google supplied a lot of tools namely Google Ads which are actually a mandatory skills to have as the most used search engine is usually Google hence to market a business Google tools are essential to help in businesses

4. Your feelings & thoughts - I am feeling challenged, as to navigate Google Analytics is not as easy as It was a relative new platform for me. However, I realised such challenge to learn is the one that is driving us to be productive as learning is a lifelong process.

5. 1 good thing from what you did that you can practice now! – I am able to apply the basic skills data visualisation and data interpretation skills!

6. Any difficulties/concerns? How did you cope? – Yes, as Google Analytics is something rather new for me, hence I have to learn certain terms to further understand how it operates. I have also no prior business experience, hence I would have to visualise and find examples in order to make sense of the given course. However, the layout plan of Google Analytics and the learning plan of the course was effective enough with the interactive platform to learn. The enjoyment of the process of learning is also an essential driving force in coping.

2. my friend and I decided to challenge ourselves and join an entrepreneur technology competition called EdTech Hackathon@UKM that was organize by CESMED UKM. it is an innovative competition where we try to come up with educational tool to can be use to help student study during the pandemic. we start our first week with brainstorming session, where we giving out potential idea for our product and analyse wether our future competitors already come out with the same product.we also learn few prototyping tool from the session that was give by the organizer such as Figma, Keynote and many more.

3. point to remember for me is when you try to brainstorming idea, it is always good to do some read and asking many people because with this we can try to look at many point of view. this help us to see a bigger picture of the problem or task. and also, before finding or creating any solution, always define and understand the problem first, then a proper solution can be created.

4. to be honest i feel a little bit overwhelming with the competition because it is out of my comfort zone in making app and even entrepreneur. just brainstorming idea cause my energy to drain so much. but im excited to learn more in this competition.

5. one good thing i can practice now i can use many website and tool if i want to do a group discussion online or even gathering. there are so many tools for this and one of it is Topia.

6. my concern will be if we gonna be slow on our progress and too many things to do since this happened during our examination season. but i have my excellent teammate and we distribute our task so that we can do bit by bit. i also manage my time wisely so that i have enough time to study also.
