I will post danish traditions on here. we celebrate Christmas on the 24th. It’s THE most important day. We start with ordenary breakfast and get ready for Church in the afternoon at 14:30. After that We drink afternoon coffe and homemade Christmas sweets. In the oven is the lovely duck and pork roast with skin on the top. The skin is sliced. We eat White potatoes, sugarcoated small potatoes, half boiled Apples in sugar and vanilla with raspery gel in the middle. The duck is stuffed with prunes and Apples. Red cabbage brownies in butter and then added raspery juice, vinnigar and sugar. Pickles Asiens. And a blop of raspery gel at the side. We eat salty crisps aswell and brown sauce from the duck and roast. For dessert We eat rispudding made with vanilla, and a splash of sherry, split almonds and 1 whole one! We eat it with cherry sauce. After that We Dance around the Christmas tree and the last song We run through all of the house in a chain. The days after We eat ryebread with alot of different fish and Meat toppings, eggs and vegetables. Snaps and beer. For dessert We eat biscuits with cheese and fruits.

 

In the kindergarten We cut, glue and glitter everyday. The children makes small homemade Christmas presents for the parents. We Light our Christmas candle, like at home, with 24 Numbers. We also celebrate advent. 4 advent sundays. We celebrate it on mondays it the kindergarten. Light one each monday and song Christmas Carols. We sing Christmas carols every day and small friendly and naugthy (nisser) 🎅🏼🧑🏼‍🎄 santas visits the children and they bring them home for a day. We celebrate Lucia aswell on the 13th. I will post pictures when it’s over. We eat Christmas lunch with the children with ryebread Meat toppings, eggs and fish. Decorate the lunch tavle with pine. Pine is very important in Denmark during december! We grow it in a lot of plantages and forrests. 🎄🎄In the top of the tree goes the Big Christmas star. 🌟
