They will be placed in a group of 4-6. On a piece of poster paper, the group will create a "classroom" Constitution, with at least 5 important rights or values. 

    Examples of the rights or values could be:
    • Treat others the way you want to be treated.
    • Stand up and speak up for others.
    • Never exclude anyone who wants to join.
    • Everyone gets to have a voice in discussions.
    • If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. 

    The groups must add designs (doodles, borders, cursive/"fancy" writing, pictures) to their posters. Once each group has finished, posters will be hung up on the walls for the other students to observe.

Each student will imagine and create their own political party on paper with makers/crayons. The students can be as silly or serious as they want with their creations. They must include a symbol (Democrats = donkey, Republicans = elephant) that represents their party. The parties must have at least 3 core values. Each party must also have a unique name to it. 

    Example:
    If I created my own party it would be called: The Abbocrats of America, named after their founder, of course.

    Only rule of exclusion is if you like or pick up spiders with your bare hand, you cannot be allowed to join.

    Our symbol is a llama with an "A" on it's body. 

    3 Core Values:
    1. Treat everyone with kindness.
    2. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't wear.
    3. Always be inclusive, never discriminatory.
