There is not much special visual effect, but there is some noticeable light used to accentuate the facial features of the actors. This essential brings them into the spotlight of the poster. The particular text used in this example speaks great volumes to represent the effectiveness of the poster to attract viewers. The backround is the furthest layer as all the images and the texts are in front of it. The pictures of the characters are in the center of the poster to emphasize their significance to the story. The fight scene between Anakin and Obi-Wan is in front of the other two layers because it is given greater importance as it is the climax of the movie. Then the text on the bottom is the closest layer. The movie title is the largest of the text to emphasize the brand of Star Wars. Then the “Revenge of the Sith” is next and is smaller than the episode number but larger than the other text as it is what the movie will be referenced by. The orientation of the two people in the back hints the plot of conflict between them. I think the scenery is emphasized in this poster because it shows how exotic a far away planet is. If there is a special visual effect, I would like it because it would provide the unknown and special things about the planets.
