      <description>Based in Toronto, Canada, Mr. Nejib Abba Biya is an accomplished entrepreneur operating in areas of food security and energy. In 2008, he became the vice president of both Allana Potash and Avion Resources, positions he served in until 2015 and 2011, respectively. In 2009, while continuing to lead both Allana and Avion, Nejib Abba Biya accepted a role as chairman of RIFT Geothermal in Addis Ababa, a position that has allowed him to explore the potential of reliable, renewable geothermal energy sources. He has also spent time as the president of Kito, Inc.

Mr. Biya studied finance at the University of Toronto, graduating with a bachelor of commerce in 1989. He has since gained more than two decades of experience in management positions, including multiple senior roles with a variety of multinational businesses. In both his professional and personal life, he maintains strong interests in improving access to electricity throughout Africa and addressing the food crisis in his native Ethiopia.
