Today, my husband drove home two guys that work with him so they got directly home, no walking, no waiting for the bus, directly home.

Last night, I gathered with many families in my neighborhood for a candlelight vigil in protest to ICE raids. We walked around the main road with signs and candles and were met with cheers and honking.

Small things that create safety and care, not directly related to our work but actions nonetheless.

I have been sharing Instagram posts about peaceful protests in downtown Los Angeles on social media. This is to counter all the negative comments perpetuated. I'm hoping some will see that there is no insurrection here.

Come this weekend, I plan to join protesters in old town Pasadena. It really is inspiring to see that there are people who share the same values on diversity, inclusion, and equity.

If anyone is seeking to donate funds, please consider supporting a Maywood Academy student and her family (mother and younger sibling) who were detained during their immigration appointment last week. They have been transferred to an ICE detention center in Texas. Funds are being used for legal services.
