Hi! My name is Naomi Nicole N. Alde, Nao for short.

I'm a Capricorn who was born on January 10, 2008.

I am a Grade 12 student from Section Chabanel, studying in Ateneo de Davao Senior High School.

I love music! I like to play my guitar and ukulele. I mostly play my guitar rather than my ukulele, but nonetheless, I love them both. These are the instruments that I am good at, while I also try to learn others. I love to listen to music anytime, anywhere. I play music to express my thoughts and feelings.

A few things about me are that I like to have fun a lot, and I always aim to carry out positive energy. I can say that I am a spontaneous person because I am down for anything as long as I can do it.

I was just happy to be there, to play, to be fed, to watch Barney. As you can see in my pictures, I have a picture with Barney. I super loved Barney when I was a kid, but when I saw his mascot in real life, I was terrified! Anyway, most pictures of mine from this age, I was dressed up. I guess my mom and tita's loved dressing me up, and I loved it too! I loved bags, and I used to carry a lot of bags back then. My family also loves to go to the beach, that is how my love for the beach grew!

The biggest milestone in this stage is that I was surrounded with good people that shaped who I am today.

I remember it was at this age that I got my chicken pox. I do not know where I got it from, but I know that my Tita took care of me that time because my parents were busy at work, and she told me no one would ever go near me. When I was cured, it was my Tita who got chicken pox next. :')

I was a very aloof child. As my tita told me, I do not go near people with whom I am not comfortable. I would always cling to those whom I recognize.

I was introduced to artists like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande. And honestly, I am still the biggest fan up until now. I would binge-watch the VIVO channel on our television. Besides the kid channels, the VIVO channel is my go to always.

Fun fact: Swimming was not my first choice as a sport. It was badminton. I stumbled into swimming because I did not get accepted into my badminton tryouts lol.

Even if I am not that close to half of my elementary friends right now, I still cherish every moment that we created. Those memories are layers in my life that gave me the steps to achieve the life that I currently have.

I believe that good friends are what make you endure high school, and that real friends are met in high school.

This stage is full of growth. I have learned from mistakes, gained new opportunities, found hobbies that I truly love and enjoy, and discovered that I will always be a coffee girly. I became very flexible, I was able to adjust to new environments quickly, and I was slowly becoming independent.

Here you will realize that growing up is scary. I wish I could just stay in this stage and enjoy every moment I have with these people.

But if growing up means creating more new memories with them, then I am so G. As long as they are there, my heart is already filled with comfort and love.

Every emotion was felt in this stage: happy, sad, anger, fear, disgust.

"Friends come and go"

A quote my mom always tells me. However, I hope these friends stay permanent in my life. No amount of words can express how grateful and loved I am to form a bond with these people. They have been with me through ups and downs, and supported me wholeheartedly.

Let me start off with how are you? Are you doing well? bad? ok? medjo? I hope you are well. I wonder what your course is right now. Did you end up choosing nursing? Or did you go with architecture or a food technologist? If you went for archi or food tech then that just means you passed the UPCAT! Or did you take accounting in AdDU? Or did you go through with studying in Australia? I hope you did. I hope you are not scared of taking opportunities anymore, stop weighing the pros and cons, and just go with what you truly want. If you are in Australia right now, I am so happy for you. I know college life here is fun, kasi kaka wattpad mo yan eh, eme. It is fun because your friends are here. Out there, you will still meet new people, have new experiences, and have more opportunities.

Anyways, enough of college talk. I hope you are genuinely happy right now. I hope you kept in touch with all your friends, especially Alexa and Arielle, Xavier, the Adobros, and your SHS fam. Please graduate with honors, or better yet, aim for high honors, or much better yet, highest honors! hahaha! I know you are smart. You have always been. If you feel academically drained, then just remember to rest. You have been to the hospital for reasons that are related to academics, so always take care of yourself.

If you are reading this after SHS just ended, and you just graduated and said goodbye to all your friends. It's ok to cry. Let it out because a new path awaits you. I hope you settled things with that person and made everything clear. Grabe start pa lang ng school year ng Grade 12 grabeng emotions ang nafefeel mo sis. I hope you won't experience that in the future because you know how it feels. I hope you are less emotional now, because honestly, I'm trying to control our breakdowns. But it's just so good to cry, no?

Explore the Philippines, the world rather. I hope naka punta ka na ng Baguio. I love Baguio, and I hope you still love Baguio in the future. Naomi, I hope you choose yourself before anything else. Don't let anyone, whether a fake friend or a man in a relationship, ruin your spark. Always remember you are beautiful, loving, funny, smart, joyful, full of love, cringe but not that cringe, you are an angel, a unicorn.

Lessen the breakdowns, ok! Everything will be fine. Pero if hindi talaga kaya, just let it out and cry. Write in your journal. Express everything there. Talk to mama. Or talk to your current comfort person.

I hope you find someone that makes you feel SOOOO SUPERRR loved and heard and seen. Find someone who brings you comfort, joy, and who will be with you through every step in life. Find a good man, pls. We may not even experience high school love at this point, but maybe it's not just for us. This is God's way of teaching us the value of patience. Let's just keep reading books and watching films that fill our hopeless romantic hearts.
