On the night of March 1st 1993, a new member had joined the Lee family. They named him Lee Hoseok ,a little boy that would become a huge name in the food industry. His family was just a small family with no children, he was their first child for his parents. They raised him carefully even though they had to travel around the world for business, they would always find time to spend with their baby boy. When they were not around, nanny would take care of him just as she was told to. As Hoseok grown up he began traveling the world with his parents, his curiosity always gets the best him where he caused troubles for his parents sometimes. He travels with his parents till he reach the age that he needed to attend elementary school, even though he knew that's how life would be since started learning and remembering things. It was fun that he spend time with his parents, meeting new friends and creating new memories together was really fun. But after a few years of traveling around the world they decided to stay in Korea for the time being for a while, that way Hoseok could get use to the surroundings and the culture more by being part of it.

As Hoseok got older, he felt the loneliness of always being alone at the house whenever his parents was busy with the company, making sure everything went smoothly. And soon enough, his parents could see that Hoseok was a little depressed and sad that they weren't there with him most of the time to show love and be there for him when he needed to. So when the opportunity of a life time that came to their doorstep where they could bring a new member into the family as well as to keep Hoseok company. They were given a chance to adopt a girl named Jiyeon , after knowing her story they didn't hesitate to sign the paper works to adopted into their family to show love and care for her.

It was on the day of Hoseok's birthday when his parents gave him the surprise that he would remember forever, a girl walked into the house right behind his parents. He was so happy when he was informed that the little girl would be part of the family forever, and that her name was Jiyeon. The happiness on his face shown everything, his parents knew they made right decision of adopting Jiyeon into this family, this way both children would be happy, especially Hoseok. They knew he wanted a baby sister to play with, but it wasn't easy in the beginning of their relationship because of Jiyeon's past which his parents told him about.

What he didn't know was that wasn't the full story, which he would learn as time pass. They got to know each other just a few months after Jiyeon's joined the Lee family, spending time and living together made the two children grow somewhat closer which made their parents very happy.

They spend quality time for few years as a family, sharing and creating memories together as a new formed family. Even though their parents was still busy with the company, but that didn't stop them to be happy together. During all these years Hoseok decided to follow the parents steps to have a career in the food industry, eventually after years studying culinary he finally became a chef that could create international cuisines and even some fusion dishes with the help of his parents. While he was studying culinary to be a chef, Jiyeon on the end was studying and learning how to be a pastry chef.

After both of them graduated with their degrees they decided that it was time for them to put in effort into the family business, to be part of it with their own skills. They even suggested to open a restaurant together as a family, which their parents were really that they wanted to do that.

It was in the process of discussion when their parents had to go oversea to take care of some business and close of the branch of the company that was in America, so all the discussion would go on between the two siblings which wasn't something that hard since they all had huge interest to open this restaurant together as a family.

But only a week after their parents for the states they got a call from one of their family members that was very closer to their parents, it was something they couldn't prepare for. Both of their parents passed away while on this business trip, it was told to them that they were trying to save people when they were visiting one of their warehouses. Something went wrong and one of their storage room caught on fire, while trying to save everyone else their parents was unable to escape the fire and both were trapped in the building. By the time they pulled them out of the building it was too late to save them, so they immediately contacted the family to let them know the tragic news. This all happen when Hoseok was only 23 and Jiyeon was 21, so it was still really young for them to handle something like this.

Everything had to be on pause, this was something they need time to process. it was tough already when they had to figure everything out themselves when their parents went oversea for the company, but this tragedy just made everything worse for the Lee siblings.

If was after their parent's funeral when they finally got a chance to sit down and discuss the future of the company and the direction of the restaurant, and after a long time with many meeting with the company members and family members, they decided to continue with the process of opening this restaurant in honor of their parents. With everything settle for the company and restaurant Hoseok and Jiyeon took the responsibilities to do their parts and honor what their parents started.

Just a few months later, le restaurant de mémoire was opened. Restaurant of Memory was the meaning behind the name, it was to honor the memories of the loves and the new ones to be created with people that they are with. But to them, this was something that their parents would have wanted, especially with them being the owner of this lovely place. Them continuing the legacy of their parents is something they both wanted to do, and this restaurant just a perfect opportunity to do that. Hoseok handles the cuisines and dishes while Jiyeon takes care of the pastry and desserts.
