First what I did was take multiple photographs with my phone but each photograph I told my model to create a slight movement.

Which then I opened  up Photoshop and I imported all the images. 

Then I stacked all the images into one image file as layers, then I opened from the drop down menu window > timeline .

Which this was empty at first but then I clicked inside the timeline window and chose create frame animation which this then created one small image frame and to introduce more I had clicked on the small button to the right and selected make frames from layers.

This had the allowed me to see a frame for each of my images that I had stacked together.

I had pressed on the time setting on each frame to adjust the viewing time which this allowed me to use the play option to view the active GIF.

Lastly, I saved my GIF to File and I pressed on save for web.

Which from this I looked at different animations which had aliens or any “outer space” creatures. I had looked at courage the cowardly dog and I then I used plasticine to create similar characters in the style from the courage the cowardly dog. However, when I asked my peers what they thought of my characters and if they look like aliens they said that I should try and look at different animations and make my characters look a bit more like the usual aliens. Which then I decided to look at my favourite anime, Tokyo ghoul and then I analysed the most common colours which were used in Tokyo ghoul ( purple , red , black ) so then I decided that I should use those colours in my characters. To create the form of my characters I just ended up searching up different aliens from google and I tried to recreate it but add something different to it for example and extra eye. 

For my final piece the strengths were, that I really liked the way that the set turned out even though at the start my set (background) was a bit too big for my characters but then I decided to cut out some of the sides and I ended up using the sides as ‘walls’ for my set. However a weakness was , that when I tried to create my GIF there was times where I didn’t really understood how to place all my images in frames which then I found it difficult to finish the GIF and sometimes I would try to avoid it until I ended up finishing all of my other work leaving the GIF to be the last thing that I need to do. 

The effectiveness of my characters is that they actually linked to my background and it made sense. However, I didn’t have a plot in my story which I feel as if it made my animations a little bit boring and not as interesting.
