The key concept of Transformation brings up the important question of how language changes over time. this video gives one of many examples of how language has been impacted today in a groundbreaking way. Language lost in translation, language lost in abbreviations, language lost in even emojis. the need for full sentences and punctuation is gone, and texting is to blame. The video mentions a very interesting fact, we used to speak how we write in the speak sense, in the 1900- early 2000's is someone was to give a speech it would be in a formal manner. Now for the first time ever texting allows us to write how we speak, he calls it 'fingered speech'.

Sometimes it feels like though texting the rules have been lost, like we have lost some sort of intellect when it comes to communication. When in reality texting is a new language with its own rules and own structure.

Words in this aspect means slang. Slang has revolutionised communications, stemming from morse codes where abbreviations where often used, to short hand and now modern day slang. Slang is a new language that the youth has created, a skill used alongside regular words, enabling the 'texting society' to multi task in this new 'balancing act' between abbreviations and 'real' words.
