My next reasoning is that traveling into space may lead into mysterious dangers that could be currently unknown. This could result in the easily avoidable death of some astronauts. This could range from the more predictable like land structures, gases/fluids, or temperature/storms. I am willing to even count the one percent chance that there may be unearthly creatures. The equation shown in the video shows how there is more than a small chance other intelligent life exists.

Only some of a certain amount of people are interested in space travel. This means the reason that we should go to space now is out of curiosity, is a bias opinion. In the video the creator states we can send something to space with the click of a button. But not only is it more complicated than that but it is dangerous, very costly, and takes many scientists to do. These scientists could be working in a different field that may be needed more at the time. https://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/5-8/features/nasa-knows/what-is-nasa-58.html. This article shows how there are 17,000 scientists working at NASA alone.

In conclusion, we could spend the extremely valuable resources on more important things in the current day. We can also avoid extreme dangers by staying on are home planet Earth for awhile. That is why I believe we should not spend valuable resources on space exploration at the current time.
