No matter where you live, you should have access to a hospital. Yet in Alabama, out of the 67 counties, only 59 of them have hospitals. Also, the majority of the counties do not have a hospital that delivers babies. This is not safe, and needs to be solved. If the people living in the counties that don't have a hospital, and they get sick or hurt, they could die before being able to get to one. All together, if I was governor, I would get started on making sure that there will be a good hospital in every county in Alabama.

Gun Rights

Out of all the states, Alabama has one of the nations highest rates of gun-related deaths. There are laws set to keep people safe, but even so, people are still being shot. Therefore, there needs to be tighter regulations on gun rights. Such as 'you are allowed to have a gun, but if you use it to hurt someone when the country is not at war, it will be taken away from you, and you will go to jail' or 'the government has the right to take away your gun if you are using it to hurt people in a time of peace.' Laws like these should be in place to discourage people from using guns on people. All in all, when I become governor, I will get started immediately on protecting the citizens of Alabama from being hurt, killed, or even threatened by a gun,

Charter Schools

Out of 1,498 schools in Alabama, only 19 of them are Charter Schools. This means that there are 1, 479 public schools. 1,479 schools following similar, if not the same, topics, all at the same time. Yes, there are benefits to this, but it is also nice to be following your own schedule with just your school. Also, the teachers are able to design their own setting to help their students learn the best way possible, and can provide better instructions because they are in charge of their own teaching. All together, I can help students get the best learning possible if there are more Charter Schools, and I will be sure that there are more if I am elected as governor.

Hello. For those who do not know me, I am Ruthie Stigler. I am running for governor of Alabama. I should be governor because I can help make Alabama a better place in many ways. One way is making sure that there is a hospital in every county. Out of the 67 counties, 8 of them do not have hospitals, and about half of them do not have a hospital that delivers babies. If you elect me for governor, I will do my best to make sure that everyone in Alabama feels safe and taken care of, no matter the age. Another way I will take care of Alabama is making sure people do not feel endangered by crime. No one deserves to feel scared or ignored for any reason, so I will make sure that everyone is safe and has nothing to worry about while I am governor. These are just two ways that I will make Alabama a state all of America can be proud of. Remember, I love Alabama, and I want what is best for my state.
