When it comes down to investing their wasn't many options. Most videos are just focused on one of my three investments and not all. i liked that Professor Dave went into how all three of my investments work and each of their benefits. It definitely takes time to understand investments, I wouldn't expect someone to figure out about it and just understand it instantly, something like this takes a lot of time and patience. with stocks you could be up $20 one day and the next its down $30. But after time it always goes back up.

In the video he also had a small description about each thing that explained what it was and i think it would be good to have it here to provide more information

Stock: Is a Representation Ownership In A Company

Bonds: Are An IOU By A Company Or Some Level Of Government

The reason I chose this website is because, I really like the overview of each topic of the investments that they go into. For this website they have everything broken down

What is a Stock

What Is A Bond

Stock Vs Bond

Mutual Funds

Key Takeaways

I enjoy this setup so much because it really goes into dept about what I'm talking about in this presentation.

People tend to compare stocks and bonds a lot and ask the question which one is better?. Bonds are called the safer option and that's because when it comes to a short time investment you're less likely to lose many than when investing into stocks. But with stocks their is a lot more potential for high returns

The Bank Of Canada's main focus when it comes to investments is focusing on keeping everything low, their whole objective is too have inflation control and make sure we have a flexible exchange rate those are two big very things when it comes to investments and money in general. they wanna make sure we're keeping inflation low and stable. an important fact is that bank and federal government renewed the Monetary Policy Framework until December 31 2026, so for us that in one year and once that happens a lot can change just off of the paperwork. Monetary policy actions take a lot of time to work there way to full effect it tends to have changes and target the overnight rate. The good thing is the monetary policy has tools it can use when we get too very low levels.

Okay the Dividend Snowball Effect. Yes i know this is a lot of information to take in but work with me here. So when it comes to dividends they are one of best ways to make passive income yes passive income everyone loves the sound of making money without having to do a thing. Stocks you can buy a stock and you can have a company stock that pays dividend these dividends happen 4 times a year so quarterly, you're paid by the company for owning a share/ piece of it. The longer you hold onto those stocks and the more the company you invested into thrives the more many they will pay out to their share holders, so basically the more money they make the more money they will give too you hoping that you will invest more into their company.

This website helps us understand mutual funds at a deeper level, I really do like mutual funds because you actually don't have to do anything with it, its Definity not the safest of methods but 100% does the job when you want to make passive income. the thing about mutual funds is that you are putting money into the bank kind of like a savings account but while that money is sitting there. A banker is taking that money and putting it into stocks and doing day trades with that money to make you more money as well. obviously they have to take a bit of this cash for their time but overall you are making money without even having to raise a finger and they are completing this trades on a daily basis.

When you think of stocks you think of investing and big company's like Google, Apple, Tesla Etc. Anyone can invest its a big thing for people to put their money somewhere and watch it go up. a lot of people use stocks to focus on their investing and its the corner stone for retirement. Their is such a diverse collection in stocks its outstanding. so many companies have stocks and smaller companies tend to have penny stocks which are usually under a dollar and if you invest a good amount into them theirs a chance they could skyrocket and make you a lot compared to buying a bigger stock and the prices dropping.

I feel like this image shows such a great view of what stocks are, you can see a bunch of companies on the left with either green that they went up or a red number because of them dropping. But the main thing with this is the graph in the middle that shows either the stock going up or down i feel like this image shows just how unpredictable a the stock market can really be.

When it comes to investing their is just so much information that you have to think about and it constantly keeps going like the news is always changing numbers are either going up or down and its just so much to process. the reason i chose this video is because i never thought of investing and trading as two different things which they actually are depending how you look at it. Trading composes of mainly just stocks, etfs and crypto, the reason these are called trading is because you are putting money into it looking to sell as soon as it gets to a high point you aren't trying to keep it for a long time its more a short term purchase. where when it comes to investing its more Mutual funds, Real Estate and Bonds. The reason i say this is because you wanna make a purchase into real estate and play the long game looking for a house to increase which is the same thing but it takes more time and than with mutual funds you're investing money into an account and passively waiting for someone else to do those trades while you just contribute money. showing how the two are actually different in a way but still trying to achieve the same goal.

I like that the way you can contribute to your mutual funds is by setting up a payment method the most common method is paying 2 weeks and than a certain amount, if it were me since it would be my first time doing something like this i would do $25 every two weeks, start with something small and than you can call the bank if you wanna increase that number or just invest more into your mutual funds. So with stocks you wanna just make sure your keeping in tune with the news and making sure your stocks aren't falling like recently for example tesla fell $20 so right now would be a good time to watch the stock and see if you can pull of one of the best stock market methods which is the "Buy Low And Sell High" if you can get your timing right on your buy low and sell highs you will strive in the stocks.
