I might use dates and things that have happened in the past and use that to write the letter. I might try to make it sound like I'm actually talking to someone by saying stuff that you would say to a normal person.

I will use dates and things that happened in the past. I could make it more realistic by making it sound like I am achelly talking to someone. I could also use books and songs from the past. I could news about today and compare it to the past. Joyce Hansen used historical facts by talking about how the slaves are not really free. She also mentions the Abraham Lincoln assignation. I could also mention how the slaves at the plantations were getting a school and were finally getting there education.

You might weave historical facts into fictional letters for the culminating project by making it sound as though it is real by putting real events into a fictional character. Not all of the parts of the letter have to be true but most of them do, because you don't have firsthand experience in that timeline

You could weave the events in by mentioning and talking about how those events have effected you currently. You could use newspapers, articles, social media and facts from whats going on now and it would make your letter better than it would be without it.

I can incorporate historical facts in to our "letter" project by mentioning or asking questions to my past relative about an event such as a war, or big commitment. I could ask my desendents if historical events could have repeated themselves like world wars and such.

you can show how history repeats its self. for example, first slaveory, then the black codes, and then the Jim Crow laws. reacorces that will help to make it sound authentic could be the book, and some other literature that you can find relating to the subject.

I could ask them about the historical events that are happing around them and also tell them more detail on the historical event based on the characters shown knowledge on the happening around them. I will use the vocabulary form the time period that they are in because if they don't know what I mean, then the letter is no point. I could use my life as a resource.
