In the next semester/year I will be getting AP classes going as well as initiating Spanish Honor society. I would also like to get a weekly flyer put together to send WL information out for students and parents

At our school we are working to get heritage /native speakers classes going for Spanish so we can make sure our students are placed in the appropriate levels and have pathways tailored to their learning.

The immediate need I see is to stop the closings of WL programs at the university level. If it´s not stopped, it will trickle down into the high schools and our programs will disappear!

I am so wishing that UNK's Transition Certification Program would accept foreign language teachers other than Spanish, German and French even if the teachers don't have current full-time teaching positions. Nebraska needs to train more foreign language teachers other than Spanish, French and German.

I am dreaming of setting up a dual-credit class for Japanese as World Language in UNK & Kearney High School (or other high schools in / near Kearney). That would be fantastic!
