Before explaining how’s our understanding of the nature of knowledge changed by the different truth test, we have to thoroughly classify the characteristics of the nature of knowledge & the types of truth test. The nature of knowledge is usually sort in a “triple Venn diagram, they’re respectively: justified, true and belief. The area that the three region overlaps is “knowledge”. The reason why the mixture of justification, true and belief is recognized as “Knowledge” is because they are required in the process of forming knowledge. If one of them is lacking from the combination, then knowledge will not occur.

why might memory-based knowledge be problematic?

The first possible factor that may cause memory-based knowledge to be problematic is that Memories are like pieces of puzzles that’s randomly stored in our brain, to be more specifically, in the “hippocampus” and “temporal lobe”. Every time we try to remember something, we randomly collect & gather pieces of puzzle that were stochastically spread on the two parts of the brain that I’ve mentioned, the formation process of the “puzzles” is not accurate all the time, due to the randomly located "puzzles". Therefore memory based knowledge may be a concerning problem.

The possible factor that may impact the reliability of memory, due to it’s correlations between language is that as I’ve already mentioned, the two regions of the human brain that responsible for memory, “hippocampus” and “temporal lobe” they’re the two key factors that may influence the reliability of memory.

Starting with the “hippocampus”, its prior function is to keep short-term memory then transfer it to the “temporal lobe” for long-term memory storage. In the every day life we as humans uses the 5 senses that we possess to perceive and observe our surroundings, it’s like, if our brain were a computer, then our 5 sense would be the camera, microphone, mouse, keyboard etc…. It simply gathers the informations then signals it into the host computer. When it comes to language, what happens is that it only gathers small tiny pieces but not the whole picture. Therefore, when it comes to language, the “microphone” only gathers small pieces of message then transfer it to the temporal lobe, this is when the lack of reliability happens, when we tried to remember the signals / the pieces we’ve collected from receiving informations then stored on the temporal lobe. Our consciousness only collect small tiny different pieces. That does not form a full picture.

My object would the temporal lobe, a region in the human brain, that responsible for memory thinking, and learning. It possess high integration with IAP-3 (3. What features of knowledge have an impact on its reliability?)I chose this object not just because of it’s level of important in our brain but also this is the region of human brain where thinking, reflection and the recall of memory takes in place.
