Imagine that your friend is thinking about moving to a new city and has asked you for advice. Write an informal letter (120-200 words) where you share your experience and give some advice. Remember to write in a relaxed and friendly manner, using common phrases in informal letters.

Hi Sarah,

I hope you’re doing well! I heard you’re thinking about moving to a new city that’s so exciting! Since I moved to my new place last year, I’ve learned a few things that might help you adjust more easily.

First, I think you should explore your neighborhood as soon as you arrive. Walking around and finding local cafés, parks, and shops helped me feel at home quickly. Also, don’t be afraid to join local events or activities. It’s a great way to meet people and make new friends.

Another tip is to plan some video calls with family and friends back home. It helped me a lot when I felt homesick. And remember, feeling a bit lost at first is totally normal it takes time to feel settled.

Let me know when you move! I can’t wait to hear all about your new adventures.

Take care,

Damaris
