A travel website is compiling a ‘green report’ of people’s holidays in order to ascertain the effect of the average traveller’s holiday on the environment. The website has requested readers to send in reports of their holidays. You decide to write a report about a recent holiday. You should briefly describe your mode of transport, accommodation and activities, and evaluate the impact of your holiday on the local environment.

Vacations are an importante part of human life, they help the impact of daily life stress and other conditions that threaten mental health. But as humans, we have a very negative impact up on nature in general. However ecolgical ways of traveling have started having a huge impact on the environment. On my last holiday , I traveled on a tour bus with my husband to Tecolutla Veracruz. We visited the beach and the wildlife reservation where the crocodiles live. I believe these guided tours have a negative impact on the resevation because the constant vibrations of the motored rafts make enough noise to frighten and stress animals. Although we tried to reduce the impact of our visit , I don’t think we did a very good job. Invading the reservation is very harmful for the wildlife there, even if it is only for sightseeing. Also the fumes coming from the rafts are toxic not only for animals , but also for acuatic plants. As much as locals try, they also cannot reduce litering in the wildlife reservation. You can see many floating islands of bottles , bags and other litter on the water. It would be best if they didn't let humans in.

The beaches were so full of people there wasnt much place to walk. The traffic was quite a bit. I really dont se to much people walking. I saw more people in restaurants than in food stalls. And most of the dishes were disposable.

My last trip was in the Riviera maya most especific in Cozumel island I think that the Main transport to Get there is boat that means that to Get there you have to expend a lot of fuel and theres a lot of boats traveling from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel all the day that is a lot of fuel consumed every day and I could see me that a lot of hoteles were not worry about their waste and even Some of the hotels throw their waste in the ocean so theres an impact in the enviroment so thats is a razon why the scientifics Belive that recently has been an increase of algy that cause a bad smell and a decrease the levels of oxígen in the water causing of death of a lot of sea live also the turist throw a lot o trash in the sea and also leave a lot of trash on the beaches that is sad because if we dont take care of our ecositems they are no going to resist the pass of the time

During my last vacation, I visited my aunt who lives in San Francisco. I was lived in her house, so the environmental impact wasn’t too bad, we spent our time visiting places, shops, and restaurants. We used her private car, which is eco-friendly and fuel-efficient. We did some shopping, which accumulating a lot of plastic bags, receipts, and product tags. We visited Alcatraz jail, which we had to transportation by ship. The ship makes about 20 trips at day, full of tourists, which contributes to oil and fuel pollution in the bay, causing the migration of marine wildlife. I believe this negative affects the local environment. We also walked across the Golden Gate Bridge, where there was a lot vehicle traffic; some people were biking, and many more were walking. We visited the whales in Monterey, as well the aquarium, and we also traveled by ship. In my case, the environmental impact came from the water transportation.

The problem in the environment is probably the people wich travel to the places. On my previous vacations to the beach, I traveled to Ixtapa Zihuatanejo wich is a town in Guerrero. The biggest and Grand Tourism hotels are in Ixtapa meanwhile in Zihuatanejo there are more beautiful houses for rent and also appartments, both nearest the beach. I personaly likes more the beach near Zihuatanejo because is more natural and the waves are extraordinary for surfers and the water and sand is more clean and beautiful, instead of Ixtapa wich the beaches are with a black sand and seawead and the people is not so carefull about it. You can find a lot of trash in there and is a waste because the beach is not attractive to the tourists and they get very dissapointed of that ugly view and prefers to stay at the hotel. My transport were by car, I went with my family wich were my brother in law, my wife and daughter and also my little dog. We divided the expenses between the tree and were better and cheapest than travel by plane, our accommodation was very easy because my parents in law live in there and the cousins of my wife tooks us to various places, we tryed to eat local for helping the economie of the people who lives in there.

Hello!

I am happy to share my experience with you all from my last vacations, and I hope this helps you to plan your holidays.

Recently, I took a vacation to Mazatlán, Sinaloa with my family, we decided this place because we wanted a clean environment.

We decide to travel by bus, it was a really long trip but we choose this transportation because it is cheaper and ecological in comparison with an airplane. Our accommodation was a medium guesthouse, an Air-Bnb. This place used solar energy, and that is why we choose it because of the low energy consumption. During our stay, we adapt to the beach environment and took long walks along the beach, we use rented bicycles and if the places was on a short distance we walked.

In conclusion, I consider my personal impact on the environment was minimal, and this was thanks of the area that we decided to visit, because if we had chosen a big city probably, we could not have the chance to perform these activities.

My last vacation was in Tequila Jalisco. I and my family were there about one week together. We visited the Tequileras it was an awesome place where you could see the way about how is the Tequila elaborated. We drunk a lot of tequila because in this place they gave Tequila free at the people but the thing was that each person that was drinking Tequila throw away the glass anywhere, the glass where they had previously drunk tequila, this was something that has bad impact in the environment. The other thing that I considerate was wrong was the transportation, the trucks were old and they blew a lot of smoke. Furthermore, almost all the people complained about the seats, they weren´t comfortable at all. Also, something else to consider was that most people drank their drinks with a straw and this has an environment impact too. We enjoyed together with the family this trip however, this bad habits weren´t good at all because, they have bad consequences in our planet.

I used to make a long travel two or three times per year to Madero Tamaulipas. My wife's family lives in there and we use to take vacations in this place. The last holidays we spent in there almost a full week. We made the travel by car, is an eight or nine hours trip depending on the traffic situations and scales and it takes two and a half tank of gas of our four cilinders car, thats some like 75 litters of gasoline for a 800km trip. Definitely there is a considerable CO2 emission in a so long trip. We are three persons and commonly we go prepared with lots of food and we produce too much garbage, so we recolect all the trash on a big bag and we drop it two or three times when we find a trashcan on the road, so this is another element that might produce a negative impact because the quantity of garbage that the travellers produce is huge. We stayed on my fathers in law's house, so we dont spend any money on lodging and our ecological footprint in there I think is minimum, excepting just that we consume more water because the often showers after back from the beach and the garbage in the house is more than the daily common.

my last vacations was at san Carlos, a Beach near to Hermosillo. talking about the effects in the environment Holidays can have significant effects on the environment, both positive and negative. Increased travel during holiday seasons often leads to higher carbon emissions from transportation, particularly air travel and road trips. This surge in tourism can also result in overpopulation at popular destinations, straining local ecosystems and leading to habitat destruction.

Additionally, the production and disposal of holiday related things, such as decorations, packaging, and gifts, contribute to waste. Many materials are non-biodegradable, and we can se a lot of waste during these times. However, holidays can also foster a greater awareness of environmental issues. Many organizations and communities use holiday seasons to promote sustainable practices, encouraging people to reduce waste, recycle, and support eco-friendly products.

Furthermore, holidays can inspire people to connect with nature, leading to a renewed appreciation for the environment. This awareness can motivate individuals to engage in conservation efforts or choose sustainable travel options. Balancing the joy of celebration with environmental responsibility is crucial for minimizing the negative impacts of holidays on our planet.
