Our struggle is a struggle to redeem the soul of those who died because of injustice. It is not a struggle that lasts for a few days, a few weeks, a few months, or a few years. It is the struggle of a lifetime, more than one life time. I do not and cannot fathom yet another horrific case of total injustice in the world. I am shattered and beyond angry by yet another loss of an innocent human being, Please help bring justice to this senseless act of hatred.
"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion, People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite - Nelson Mandela 'Long Walk to Freedom'"

Ms. Erny - 12 A English Teacher

looking back at another news of someone losing their life just because of something that is very much unreasonable and 'childish' isn't what i expect to happen again. everyone was born to be different, each one of us have our own personal traits, but being different doesn't imply that one can bring others down. i believe that things could change, improve for the better. do admit that it isn't something that could change overnight, tomorrow, next week, etc, but it doesn't mean that it is impossible to do so. hoping that whatever happens in the future ahead, people would come to see that differences makes everything perfect, to complete each other's flaws.

sharon 12A

Being treated differently just because of your skin tone is not right. Racism and the act of discrimination has existed for centuries. It is heartbreaking to hear someone died because of their physical appearance. No one can choose how they’re born or how they look. We can’t just divide humans into categories. Humans are humans. We are all the same. Before George Floyd’s death, racism was always taken so lightly that it becomes a normal thing to exist between all of us. We are all special in our own ways. Just because we look better doesn’t mean we can judge how others look. We need to respect and appreciate each other as a human being. I believe one day racism will end and everyone will be treated the equally. This might take years or even centuries but i know one day we will overcome this problem.

Axel 12A

Inequality has been a big problem for humanity nowadays. Racism is one of the obvious forms of inequality in our community. Every day, some black people get discriminated, an unfair judgement which sometimes may even lead to murder. Judgement due to the skin tone people have is not reasonable to treat them differently. Black people are not always bad while white people are not always good. We are all unique with our personality, facial appearance, and also our skin tone. God gave us the skin tone that we have not to differentiate between the good and the bad, but to show that each of us is special in their own way. This discrimination should be stopped. The number of victims keeps increasing which is heartbreaking. It might take a long time to fix this, but it is better rather than doing nothing about it. Each of us has our own right to live and live their own life freely.

Alex 12A
