Being that gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis being a all time high in 2019 is something to take serious. I believe they are the most common STDs transmitted from person to person. Since they are very common everyone should be aware and make the right choices to prevent these infections. Since condoms are not being used, shows the lack of knowledge one can have about sex or they do know but are ignorant. Showing the proper way to put on a condom is just the start to reducing rates.

Floria Colbert- I love the recording and how fluent that you sound in your delivery. It was a lot of information very color and an attention getter. I love the graph and how it breaks down the infection giving clarity of each. Including religion and morals are a good combination of information in this subject. So many people bypass what they have learned in the home and how it shapes their decisions. I enjoyed this presentation. Very well put together and the information was really good.

I think this is a very great presentation cram packed with an abundance of information. Sexually transmitted disease numbers are much higher than most people realize, especially in Philadelphia. It is so important for people to see the stark reality of how many people are potentially walking around untreated, unknowingly infected, etc. It really is so easy to protect ourselves. Also to get checked on a regular basis especially before having new partners.

This presentation was very informative and straightforward. I enjoyed the slides that laid out aspects of languages, religion and diet, but what I found to be most interesting was the Powerpoint presentation. I was surprised to find that in the Asian community STDs among teens occur at more than 1% of the rate of whites. Outreach programs that can help increase awareness of the seriousness of unprotected sex and encourage safe sex as an alternative are a great idea when it comes to solving this problem.

In regards to the recording, I was surprised to find that there are 16 million Vietnamese people in Philadelphia, not including Vietnamese immigrants. Since many of these people live in what is often referred to as "Little Saigon" and tight quarters, it could be part of the reason why there is such a prevalence of STDs. Living closer together leads to less sanitary conditions and since many of these residents are on poorer side, they may not have the proper education on safe sex practices. I was also surprised to find that PDA (public display of affection) is strongly frowned upon in Vietnamese culture if they are practicing heavily in unprotected sex.

You guys did a great job on this presentation! I think it is important for teens especially to be taught about being safe and responsible with sex. I did not know that there are over 16,000 Vietnamese Americans living in Philadelphia. Any preventative measures that can be offered by the city would be a great tool in helping to teach teens about keeping safe.
