Composition
It gave us the opportunity to experience handling a musical instrument, and to be able to produce a performance afterwards.
For EDM,
I learnt the various skills that can be carried out on Garageband. It was rather new to me, and I learnt a lot on how to compose a piece of music online. It allowed for a lot of creativity, as there was a variety of soundtracks to chose from, and allowed me to experiment with the different types of music
Listening:
We paid attention to the high and low notes of the song, and identified who best suited the key.

My proudest moment was when our group delivered our dance performance. It was the last segment of our music module, and we felt that the soundtrack we had to compose the dance to was rather challenging. However, with much brainstorming and practice, we were able to come up with a suitable choreography to the music. The process was interesting and allowed us to have a sense of accomplishment afterwards. It was also very enjoyable as it gave the group an opportunity to discuss and express ourselves in the context of the soundtrack, as well as what we felt the music was conveying.
With respect to my goals, what was my greatest challenge?

My greatest challenge was the creation of the EDM. It was rather challenging for me as I do not have a flair for composition and electronic music. Hence, the process seemed rather complicated for me. However, after my music teacher talked it through with me, I realised that what is important is the effort put into the work. Hence, I learnt that it is always important to try your best in the work you are given, and as long as I have put in effort, I will be able to gain and improve from the process nonetheless. - We used the charcoal to sketch a popcorn. There are dark areas and light ones, which create a contrast which is pleasing to the eye. The texture of the wall behind the artwork created a kind of pattern that is able to be seen at te lighter areas. The darkest areas are in the middle section of the popcorn, which creates a certain mystery. The popcorn is blown up in size and we are able to see details in the popcorn we dont usually see.
Think
- The charcoal is applied in such a way that makes it feel very rough. The dark areas make it feel like the popcorn is hiding a deep secret and it doesn't want to tell anyone about it...
- It is interesting as we can wonder what the dark area holds/or what secret the popcorn is trying to keep
- The enlarged scale forced me to look very closely at the popcorn, and focus on the areas I find very interesting, and make an attempt to bring out these special features in my artwork.
- the drawing of my popcorn reminds me of a deformed heart with its different chambers, or a puff of smoke which will lead into the unknown
Wonder
- The drawing could be transformed into an explosion, or a heart, if veins and arteries could be drawn out from the popcorn 
- Many people have different ways of perceiving things and no one sees the world in the same way
- Whenever, doing an artwork I should think about the features I should focus on. I was able to express my frustration, joy and confusion in this piece with the background. The uneven mix of dark and light blue, looks like the violent splash of water, yet the transparency of the white spaces makes it look calm and pristine. The pictures surrounding the swimmer includes pictures dating back to when I was primary 3. During then till now, I have experienced a lot of emotions, as the journey was not as smooth as I though it would be. The swimmer I drew with her back facing me, shows how I am looking towards the future. The bright colours lining the suit shows how I am looking forward towards what is to come.

I felt that the artwork I had in mind would be worlds apart from the final outcome. But now, I feel that art is still an outlet to express my emotions and thoughts, it may be through abstract art, if I am unable to draw realistic art. I feel that now art takes a wide range of forms, and a good painting does not have to be literal. I was also better able to admire other paintings that were more abstract. I have also been exposed to and taken a liking in surrealistic art. I feel that the mystery and vagueness of the drawings are exciting and eery at the same time. The fact that the painting encompasses a meaning felt by the painter makes it even more interesting. the cupcake with less fat is harder and drier, while the normal cupcake is more moist and softer
Difference in texture:
There is not much difference in texture
Difference in appearance: the cupcake with less fat may appear less dense, with a little more  air bubbles

I prefer the cupcake with more fat, as it is more moist and less crumbly. Hence, it has a more chewy consistency, and is easier to eat with less mess

3 ways to make cupcakes healthier:
1) add fruits! Add bananas and blueberries to the mix 
2) cut down on the hard fat (in this case the butter)
3) cut down on the sugar

In what ways have you met the task demands? (Keywords : healthy, manipulative
skills)
- I chose to make a fruit cupcake, and included the different types of berries, and preserved peach. I also attempted to make a frosting which was a little more challenging. I could have achieved the right consistency if i used icing sugar instead of using caster sugar.

❏ Were you able to manage time?
Yes, I was able to finish my dessert on time, but I could have made my icing first before cutting the fruits. In the end, I was rushing to put the frosting on the cupcake, and had cut too many fruits for the toppings.
❏ Did you face difficulties? How did you overcome them?
I initially wanted to make unicorn cupcakes, however, after attempting it at home, I felt it was not very healthy and feasible. Hence, I swapped to a fruit cupcake, which was also easier for me to bake.
❏ How would you have done it differently?

I would have used icing sugar instead of caster sugar, so the frosting would be more smooth, and less granulated. I could have practiced making the frosting more times as well, as I had only tried it once before the practical.

They were rather manageable, as I did it with the help of my partner during most cooking sessions. I was also given ample time to master the manipulative skills step by step, and was given step by step instructions and examples by Mrs Lee.
