Upon entering the restaurant, diners will experience transitional Japanese decor pieces, from masks to Ninja tools to Buddhist statues and wooden lamps. Diners have choices from experiencing the Tatami room, dining at intimate seats along the charcoal griller or small to long table sizes.At much as Honda-Ya keeps it Japanese's Izakaya tradition, we can and feel the touch of American culture influenced the place, starting from baseball related poster and music from late 60 to early 90-ish jazz, pop, and rock'n'roll music were playing in the background. More influences from the California cuisine on the food menu, the fusion of California Roll Sushi to the tasty Hawaiian Sushi Roll are the best bite of two wonderful cuisine art in one body. The best of alcoholic drinks in any cultures can help connects friends from around the world, beers can be found in my culture and so as meat skewers, however, the combination of meats with Sake and beers were such a delightful experience that I highly recommend.
