         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Language, Communication and Interaction Service (LCIS) offers <strong>termly training courses</strong> for parents and carers of children with social communication needs, including <strong>Autism</strong> and <strong>Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)</strong>.</p><p>Courses include topics such as <strong>SCERTS for parents/carers</strong>, <strong>Intensive Interaction</strong>, and using <strong>Core Vocabulary Boards</strong> at home. These sessions are designed to give you practical tools and strategies to support your child’s communication and interaction.</p><p>You <strong>don’t need a referral</strong> to LCIS to attend — the courses are open to parents/carers of children attending <strong>any Newham school</strong> (mainstream or specialist), from <strong>Reception to Year 11</strong>, or those living in Newham.</p><p>Courses are delivered either <strong>online or in-person at the Tunmarsh Centre</strong>, depending on the term.
