-She also stresses the importance of not needing an idea to begin their writing; this takes away from creativity and actually gives the children a chance to express themselves in their own writing however they may choose. 
-Showing the children other authors and illustrators who have published their own books, which helps the children get a better understanding of what their expected to do.
