         <description><![CDATA[<div>When Pi eventually makes it to the coast of Mexico, even though he has managed to survive, the mental and physical changes that he endured during his trip are all too apparent.&nbsp; Pi, <mark>a lifeless shell of himself (appositive)</mark>, is too weak to even feel the happiness and relief of finally finding land.&nbsp; In fact, Pi remembers that, “When we reached land, Mexico to be exact, I was so weak I barely had the strength to be happy about it" (284).&nbsp; Pi had to overcome both mental and physical challenges<mark>; (two related sentences)</mark> the extremity of these changed Pi to a point where he didn't even feel excited, <mark>landing on the beaches of Mexico (participle).</mark>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
