In Sweden, you need a legitimate identification to access anything including a job. 

Vulnerable groups:

Children, disabled, elderly

Polarized:

No address-can’t go to school, which causes exclusion. May use illegal means to survive. Youth would be mostly affected as this sets the standard of how the rest of a young persons life would be lead. 

Solution:

Depends on the physical location. A western country historically has more money and therefore more opportunity to help. 

Depends on the culture, non western cultures may have other means of helping others, such as acting as a community network or a social net. They can support you in house even if they have very little means. 

Organized/improved/changed:

Structure of the system-politics-government, etc

Community outreach, speaking to the affected directly. Ask them what they need, then help them to maintain it to your best ability. 

In Sweden, the system is antiquated. It was built for a homogeneous society and many of the issues then does not relate to a heavy influx of foreign immigrants and refugees. 

Those with mental health issues are especially disadvantaged and interventions need to be in place in order to help them thrive. 

More awareness of the frailty of life situations where mental health is involved and emergency concrete plans need to be in place. 

 Not everyone wants to be helped. What do you do then?

Awareness of how to get help needs to be easily accessed. Those that need it can reach out when they are ready and able.

Water is life, we depend on water. 

Climate, Drought, Deforestation, scarcity, animal produce, growing crops. 

Problems: Migration, competition, conflicts, war, pollution, industry, privatization of social commodities, how we use water, how we see water or relate to it. 
 
 Solutions: Management of water. Change in mindset and behaviour (lifestyle). Awareness in actions, sharing knowledge. Taxes on water for corporations. Criminalize privatization of social commodoties. Giving water resources human rights, a juridical person. Corporate social responsibility.

Models to follow, role models. 

 

- We discussed governance and political issues

- People in power act for financial gain instead of welfare

- This keeps systems of oppression in place

- Environmental disasters can be created by the people in power

- This creates waves of immigration, saturating economic systems

- Poorer people are affected

- Empowering individuals and community to become less reliant on governmental assistance

- Supporting through meeting basic needs of the population at first, investing in education afterwards

- Not treating the government as an enemy, but as a structure to be turned to whenever possible

- Social workers acting as bridges between people affected and the resources in hand
