Some of the imagery that I was able to find in this poem is nature. The reason that I am able to find this imagery in the poem is because it talks about the flowers and grass and a lot of nature. The way that the author of this poem is able to use imagery to paint a picture in your mind is incredible. The way that he used trees and grass to paint the picture in your mind made me think that I was actually in a field of grass.

1. Robert Frost is suggesting that everything only has a little time in its full beauty. Everything will fade or change in time, but that what makes it even more beautiful because it only lasts a moment. The poem says, “Her early leafs a flower, but only so an hour”.This is showing that everything has a short time before it will change or disappear.

1.  This poem can relate with the Outsider characters because Johnny told Ponyboy to “stay golden Ponyboy,” when he was dying. Ponyboy originally said the poem to Johnny. Johny really means that Ponyboy has what it takes through his skills and his brains to get out of the South Side of town and make a better life for himself. Johnny wants Ponyboy to stay gold, because Johnny knows he is dying and his time is fading, but he wants the best for Ponyboy.

1. The Outsiders is about how life can change in an instant and everything fades over time through losses in life like death.
