I think that the most challenging component to realize in a classroom is the core to learning because the assessment sistem is really, maybe too, rigid and it would be difficult to change it in such a revolutionary way. In my experience, I had an internship in a secondary school, students are not used to do something in group and then it would be difficult also to promote a student driven activity but this kind of experience is essential if we want to develop important skills like critical thinking and collaboration

Thissimple image shows how everyone is precious when it's time to collaborate because every single member of the team has different abilities and potentialities. The machine can't work in the same way without every single contribution, that's why be aware of this, in my opinion, is what make we start to collaborate not because we are forced to do that but because we really want to collaborate. image found there: http://www.vivaspa.it/news/il-vero-valore-e-la-collaborazione/

Students often are not so happy to collaborate because there are Always few people that do very little work and at the end of the activity every single member of the Group will have the same evaluation. What make our work not so useful and effective is that collaboration is not interdependent, students don't have specific and interrelated tasks and they can't make important decisions about the joint work. As a result they don't develop any critical thinking or useful skill but end the activity with the idea that collaboration is not so good because only some people have to work and they have the same mark of the others, so why I have to work if others can reach the same mark without working? In my opinion one of the problems is here.

To develop team spirit can be useful to make students play a team sport like volleyball. In each team it's important to mix different kind of student, the brilliant one with the not-so-good one, the shy with the outgoing one etc...At the end of the game there is a moment of rection about why every single player was important in the game, what are his abilities and potentalities and why is not a good idea to throw away the one/s who are not good players. What they can do for the team?how to give them an effective role?

I think that in our community the best person who can collaborate with school is a journalist because a lot of students (ages 14-17) are interested in how a newspaper works and what really do a journaist or a reporter. At the moment I'm woking for a newspaper too than it would be easy for me to organise a project about that. Another good idea is the local museum because museums nowadays are changing: they're becoming modern and the traditional visit is being trasformed in something much more interactive, then perfect for a group of students!

Resilience is one of the greatest things in life!Is what makes you do the impossible. I experimented this when I was at my first year at university, I studied a lot for weeks for my first exam but the result wasn't good at all. Even I was really unhappy about that I decided not to give up my studies because I wanted to prove myself that I was stronger than my difficulty. The next exam I had a really good mark! What a satisfaction!

I love the definition of scaffolding! It's exactly what students need. On the other hand students need also to try something on their own in order to to learn how to develop their own strategy and to be aware that they are able to do it. They have to try on their own also to learn how to overcome a moment of sorrow or discouragement after a failure. If we combine the two things we will build a strong and confident person!

The worst thing a teacher can do is to discourage a student, saying "you can't do it" "it's pointless for you to continue" because if they believe in their abilities they can do everything. Of course a bad example given by the teacher is not good too. Another bad thing is to compare one student to another, it will create a conflict between them and the weaker student will feel terrible and probably he won't try again doing something.

I'm working in a newspaper at the moment but I'm really interested in education and I hope to be a teacher in the near future. I had a stage in a school three years ago and so I have a little experience of teaching cause during that period I had to do some activity inside and outside the classroom. It was a great experience.
