First week, we were asked to introduce our-self to the teacher and I was so worry that if my English is not good enough, I'm gonna be kick out of Youth Ambassador, fortunately everyone got involved in the group.

The second week, we did the self-intro with Calvin, and I was very nervous about introducing myself, but thankfully we introduced things that we cut from the English Magazine instead, and it makes a lots more easier for me. Therefore I kind of like this activity if the topic isn’t about me. Then the second activity was ask people question. The purpose of this is to improve the skill of continuing conversation. Lot of people doesn’t know how to ask and respond, so this activity not only include whether we pay attention to what people say, but also training our speaking skill.

The third week, we did Campus Treasure Hunt with international students, in my group we gave Jo, then we did two mission, which were not really interesting, we better change those mission, but we had really good time with Jo though she’s quite, but we asked her questions about her school and some differences between ZHSH and her school. Through these mission I suddenly realized that English is a really widely spoken language and without it we probably wouldn’t know it is so much fun to use it and make friends.

The fourth week, we continually doing Campus Treasure Hunt, but this week without Jo, she’s sick. Though we didn’t complete the mission, but in my opinion I think most of the mission can really helps foreign students get to know more about ZHSH and school in Taiwan, for instance: Back Hill, School Emblem and Affair Office.

During the first week, I was informed that I needed to attend an interview for this program. However, I missed it because I had remembered the wrong time. I felt very nervous and embarrassed, but the teacher still gave me a chance to do the interview. I appreciated.During the interview, I didn’t know that it would be interviewed in English, so I didn’t prepared for it at all. When I entered the interview room and realized it was all in English, I tried my best to say a few sentences. I was very nervous.Fortunately, I passed. Thanks again for the chance.

In the second week, I was taught by Mr. Calvin. In the first part, we practiced storytelling based on pictures, and in the second part, we used cards to choose topics and talked with the classmate sitting across from us. This activity helped me get to know my classmates better and made me feel more relaxed. I also made some new friends through it.

In the third week, our group explored the campus together with Jo who is a foreigner . We used a school-designed website to visit places we usually wouldn’t notice and filled out a learning sheet. During the activity, we didn’t allowed to speak Chinese, which improved my confidence in speaking English. Jo was very nice, although she was a bit shy and didn’t talk much. I still tried to ask her some questions, such as whether because it was hot, and some simple daily questions. It was a huge challenge for me because of the first time talking with a foreigner.

We did the missions again, but Jo didn’t come with us because she was sick. We completed three missions this time. In one of them, we searched for ZCSH emblems around the school and found six of them. In another mission, we looked for books again using their retrieval numbers. The last one was guessing the words on the third floor of the administrative building. This experience helped me understand the campus better. It was an excellent experience!

Before the interview, I was really nervous because I didn’t know what was going to happen. However, when I heard that we needed to introduce ourselves, I put my worries aside since I had prepared it before the class. When it was my turn to introduce myself, I tried my best to let everyone know more about me. I think I spoke confidently and did a good job. After I finished, the teacher asked me a random question. Fortunately, I answered it well and spoke fluent English. Everyone in the class gave a great performance. We all had a positive attitude, so the teacher approved everyone.

Because the teacher had a day off, Calvin was the temporary teacher. Firstly, in order to practice our English speaking, he asked us to cut out pictures from several magazines and paste them on a piece of paper. Then, we were asked to pick a paper we liked that was not our own. Next, we had to introduce what was on the paper. I got a paper with a dog, an airplane, and a helicopter. When it was my turn, I described that I was a pilot flying the airplane, and my father was also a pilot, but he flies a helicopter. I also mentioned that I had a pet dog named Louis. After I told my story, everyone burst into laughter — it was so funny! In addition, we practiced English conversation with other students in the class. It was a great opportunity to get to know everyone. I chatted with four different people, and we shared a lot of things in English. To state succinctly, I really enjoyed the class because it allowed me to speak English openly. It literally felt like an American class — not just sitting there quietly. I would rate this class 10 out of 10.

During the following class, we had to complete several missions. All of them aimed to help foreign students learn more about ZHSH. To my surprise, we even had a foreign student from Germany join us. First, we went to the instructor’s office to interview an instructor named 李國斌, but he couldn’t speak English very well. Afterward, we went to the cafeteria and counted how many hamburgers there were. It was also a good opportunity for me to see the paintings on the wall. Finally, we went outside to count how many bikes there were. The German student, Juri, told me that there is a similar system in Germany. In Germany, they can rent public bikes anywhere because there are no stations, so people can park them anywhere. I thought it was more convenient than in Taiwan. This class allowed me to learn more about ZHSH, and I am looking forward to introducing our school to foreign students.

Week 4

In today’s class, we needed to finish the remaining missions. The first task was to go to the administrative office and find the couplets on the door. We found them quickly, and the couplets represented money,chill, and leisure. Afterwards, we walked a long way to the back hill. It was scorching hot outside. When we arrived, the teacher explained the meanings of some words. I thought they were difficult to understand because they were not common vocabulary, but after the explanation, I understood them deeply. The last mission was going to the basketball court and doing five pull-ups. Our team had a boy named Levis, who was able to do them quickly, so we finished the mission instantly. After completing all the missions, I realized there were many places in ZHSH that I had never been to before. Through this activity, I learned a lot more about my school and now feel confident enough to introduce ZHSH to foreign students.

We were divide into groups to do the Campus Tour Evaluatio mission. Went to the basement food court and the U-bike stop at the school gate although there were some minor accidents along the way.

We have two new members in our group.Wennis and Emeline, Emily is a exchange student from Luxembourg,we completed the tasks of the back mountain and the general affairs office together. What impressed me most was Emeline she said“我喜歡錢"after we taught her the chinese words on the door couplet.It was a pleasure to communicate with her!

At the interview I was nervous because teacher was serious in the beginning. When the self-introduction began, I was more nervous, because everyone was confident, and spoke well. When it was my turn, I got stuck while speaking because I was too nervous. Fortunately, I wasn’t out because this.

The first class, teacher Calvin let us cut down pictures that we liked from several magazines and stuck on paper. Then everyone chose one of the paper and told others why chose this paper. I thought it was funny.

Last two weeks, we completed some missions all about exploring ZHSH. First and second mission were went to cafeteria counted how many hamburgers in the painted wall and counted how many Ubike stations near the school. We went to back hill with Emeline, the foreign student from Luxembourg last week. Then we went to administrative building. There had three couples, each one showed different meaning in Chinese. I liked the last mission the most. Because it was a chance let them know more about our culture.

During this program, I gained many new experiences. In the first class, Calvin used pictures and cards to teach us how to introduce ourselves and continue conversations in English. This helped me feel more confident, because in the past I was often nervous when speaking English, such as when I was a volunteer at the Taipei Zoo.

In the next two classes, the teacher let us join activities with the exchange students. We played games together and also thought about how to make them better. Through this process, I practiced my speaking, learned to reflect, and improved my critical thinking.

The first week，I face my first challenge: an oral English interview. Fortunately, everyone was very friendly. When others introduced themselves, they gave me encouraging looks, which reduced my nerves considerably.

The following week, our first class began. Calvin had us cut out favorite pictures from English magazines, then each select one to introduce the story depicted. We also took turns drawing questions to chat with different classmates. This not only helped us understand each other better but also encouraged us to speak English confidently

WEEK 1

In the first week, we did an interview. We introduced ourselves to the teacher and the other students in turn. Teacher explained the program more thoroughly, making me feel more interested in the course. I am glad that all of us tried our best to do the interview. Also, I was really excited about the following training.

WEEK 2

This week was in which our first lesson began. We had Mr. Calvin engaging with us in class. During the hour, we did two activities to help us improve our communication skills. One was we cutting down the pictures we each like from the magazines, and then, we stuck the pictures on each's paper. After that, Mr. Calvin shuffled the papers and randomly passed them to everyone.

Therefore, everyone got a certain paper which was about others interests. The fun part was we introduced the pictures on the paper to everyone by pretending we were the owner of the paper. I love the idea of this activity because we could practice our adaptability. The other activity we did was just chatting with others. But we should maintain talkative to keep the conversation going on. Teacher said that we should give more details and respond more. Mostly, we mustn't be afraid of speaking in English! I really like this activity because we can in turn get to know each other better.

WEEK 3

We were separated in four groups to complete different tasks and give advices. My mates and I dia the mission about the cafeteria and the ubike system. I considered the mission was kind of boring because they were all about counting stuff. I preferred we should modify the

"ubike system" rules to make it more meaningful like comparing the differences of public bike systems between Taiwan and other countries. By the way, we were doing this because we wanted to let foreign exchange students to know about our school while visiting. Therefore, I think it is a crucial thing needed to be addressed.

WEEK 4

In this week, we should keep on working on the missions like what we did last week. This time, a student from Luxembourg, Emelin, was join our group to complete the missions with us. We finished the entire tasks but unlike the ones we had done last week, it has been so fun! One of the rule was that we needed to explain the backgrounds of the monument located in the mountain in our school. I think it was meaningful to introduce the meaning of the symbols. I appreciated that Emelin loved it too!!

In the first class, our teacher asked each of us to introduce ourselves in English. I wasn’t very confident in my English-speaking ability, so I racked my brain trying to figure out how to present myself well. Since I was the last one to introduce myself, I listened carefully to my classmates’ introductions, hoping to find my own strengths and learn some useful vocabulary. In the end, I decided to share my volunteer experience to highlight my diligence and responsibility. Fortunately, this left a good impression on the teacher, and I was successfully selected.

Following the previous week’s activity, our group started discussing how we could make the event more interesting and engaging. We thought that the seventh task should be revised to include vocabulary related to the next exchange students’ country—Australia. We also decided to change the second question, which required taking a photo with a librarian, since it felt too awkward. As for the first question of the eighth task, no group was able to answer it last time, which meant the exchange students still didn’t understand the meaning of our school emblem. Therefore, we planned to simplify that question to make it easier for them to grasp.

In the first week, we had our first meeting in the computer classroom. We introduced ourselves and talked about what we would learn in the future. It felt a bit awkward because we didn’t know each other yet, and I was really nervous.

In the fourth week, we edited the task we worked on last week. We changed some details to make it more interesting. As far as I'm concerned, I think Mission 5, Back Hill, was a bit hard to understand, so my teammate Andy and I changed it to make it easier to understand. We also discussed some of the other missions together. Now I think the campus missions are more fun after our edits.

In the third week, we had a foreign student named Juri join us to work on some tasks. Fortunately, Juri and I share the same hobby — watching Formula 1 — so we became friends quickly. My teammates and I finished four tasks during the third and fourth weeks, which was really satisfying, and we’re also excited about the activities coming up next week.

Week 1

Unfortunately, I was late to the interview.

However, I went to the teacher's office and asked the interviewer if I had a chance to do the interview, and she said yes!

Honestly, without her, I wouldn't be in this event.

During the interview, the teacher told me that she cares most is attitude. If we don't have the right attitude during this event, she’ll kick us out of the group. Though it is normal for when teacher to say that, it still brings some stress to me. I believe that I will overcome this barrier.

Very great activity! It lets us get close to our classmates. The chatting skills Calvin taught us was very useful. When we talked about the topic we both interested, the vide between me and my partner was so good. And because of the random partner, I can know more about each person. Love it.

This week we divided into groups to accomplish our missions. In the halfway we join a boy from Germany. We taught him how to sang our school song, in an awkward way, cause I heard that other group taught their foreign partner by romanization. It looks dumb of us.😂 But this activity can let us learn much about our campus. Either us or foreign students.

In the first class we had another kind of introduction with Tr.Calvin. The introduction is in a totally different way,teacher gave us magazine,scissors and glue and told us to paste whatever we wanted and randomly picked one of the paper to create a new story about the image. We also used card to pick a random word and have a question conversation, which you have to talk as many as you can.It’s really really fun.

In Week three and four we want out to finish missions in Week three we also had a foreigner student who was from Luxembourg and I think she is called Emilline(I think I spell it wrong) and I learned about the different of ZHSH and where she study,such as the phone management by missions.the missions also made me take a closer look into my own campus.

Week 2

At the beginning of the class this week, due to our teacher having a day off, there was a temporary teacher Calvin. He taught us not to be shy while talking to each other in English.

We had a conversation with almost all the youth ambassadors by chatting in English.

By the way, everyone can only have a 5-minute conversation with each other. I feel I can talk with more confidence and fluently.
