The  support  that could have been given to Ivy  was reassurance explaining it was fictional, either changing the channel or switching the TV off. I feel there is no relationship and trust and a gulf between them. The nurse has not given quality time to get to know her patient. This is possibly caused by a level of hierarchy from the nurse feeling she knows what is best for the patient, therefore, no need to involve the patient in their own care plan.
