         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to the podcast, the noises from the ice comes from the extreme changes in temperature causing the ice to expand or contract. That causes the ice to flex and buckle under  the other bits of ice, and then crack. Those cause vibrations, which are carried across the ice. The highs travel faster than the lows, and it makes the sounds.</div>]]></description>
