Uluru was discovered in 1872, Uluru is a national park that people can visit in the desert in australia. This was just a natural cause of why this rock was created and when people discovered that this existed, it ended up becoming a national park and such a big tourist attraction. There were no materials needed for this but often people wonder why this rock is in this desert. The architecture is just a big brown rock but a ton of people stop by to see this thing in person. Theres not much of a design on the rock but people do really like to come by the park to see it. Theres not really a purpose besides its a huge attraction.-Tripp Faison

Her wish was to preserve the woods as they were when her son played in them as a child. These longleaf pines contain V-shaped cuts made by former slaves and their descendants to activate resin flow. The resin was collected in deep gashes—boxes—cut into the bases of the trees’ trunks, before being carried away for use in the turpentine industry.

They are of human heads-on-torsos carved in the male form from rough hardened volcanic ash. The islanders call them "moai," and they have been a mystery to ethnographers, archaeologists, and visitors to the island since the first European explorers arrived here in 1722. The statues were built to temporarily contain the spirits of their ancestors. There is a lack of information as to why the statues are shaped as they are or the exact motive for their style. They were created roughly between the years 1100 and 1650, and Rapa Nui carvers created some 900 of these sculptures, nearly all of which are still in situ.

The landscapes were man made and all built by hand. Central park's purpose is for people to experience the countryside to escape the urban life with nature and fellow New Yorkers.

Sienna

Colosseum, in Rome Italy

This colossal build was made in (Rome Italy) of course. You probably already heard of it since Rome is a big topic in history class for a good reason too. The Colosseum was made in 72 AD and finished in 80 AD which means it wasn't a long life time project but still took quite a bit of effort. Considering the Colosseum is mostly made out of lime stone and roman stone and was made without any special modernized tools as long as it being as big as 2 football fields. The length of it is 620 feet and 512 feet wide and the base area is 6 acres which puts roman architecture high on the list of its most notable feats. After it was built it was used as an arena for not just its citizen but as a means of entertainment for the emperor too.

While it is a lot of nature, the materials used for the architecture were concrete, steel, and paint. The architecture of the park is made similar to central park in Manhattan, New York.

The Parthenon is a former temple that sits on Acropolis. It was built between 447 and 432 BC and was dedicated to the goddess of wisdom and war, Athena, during the 5th century BC. It is made out of pentelic marble and took only approximately 10 years. It was designed and built in the Doric style, while also incorporating some Ionic elements. This makes it traditional architecture. In the Morean war centuries later, a Venetian bomb landed on the Parthenon. This caused great damage to the Parthenon. To this day, the Parthenon stands as a monument to democracy that withstood trials of history.

The Big Basket Building in Newark, Ohio was built in 1997. The Big Basket Building was constructed as the headquarters of the Longenberger Company which manufactures and creates maple wood baskets, as well as other lifestyle products. The architecture of the Big Basket Building is post-modern, more specifically novelty architecture, which is a style that focuses on creating buildings that mimic real-life objects. The building cost $30 million dollars to construct. It has a central atrium and glass ceiling that provides massive amounts of natural sunlight into the building. The handles at the top weigh 75 tons each and are made out of steel. The handles are fitted with heating elements that prevent ice from forming on the handles because falling ice can damage the glass atrium below.

This naturally occurring landmark was named Federal Hill in 1788 after Baltimoreans held a celebration there for Maryland's ratification of the U.S. Constitution. In 1880, this 8.5-acre hill was dedicated as Federal Hill Park after it was bought by the Baltimore city. Historically, this hill was used to observe the Baltimore city and the passing by ships from Europe and Asia. The park is built to preserve the rich history of Baltimore City. This naturally occurring hill is made of mineral resources including a rich amount of clay, which was quarried in the 19th century. Although no architecture was built in the park, there are popular brick row homes (modern architects) in neighborhoods near the park. The mound-like park was designed by George A. Fredrick, the hill rises several feet above the street on its southern border, while the lawn facing the harbor on the north and east slopes dramatically down. Now, the purpose of the park is to continues to attract visitors to its stunning view of the city and harbor.

Fun facts:

This site was also an important military position occupied by the Union Army during the Civil War.

Now, the summit of the park affords panoramic views and has been used as an overlook of the city's rich history.
